If it is in Valenwood, sure. Perhaps Elsewyr too. At least, they should be NPCs. While a great "roleplaying commitment" (yea, that's me being elitist), I doubt it would be fun to perform a full-body shave every day or so.
As NPCs, they could actually make an appearance in a Summerset Isle game too.
But, if the game is in Skyrim, or any place north of Cyrodiil, I'd rather leave them out.e

I agree.

Also, this isn't lore.

Colovian Imga would do that sort of thing. Valen Imga probably couldn't be arsed. Or wouldn't be willing to get their fingernails dirty.

Depending on the region, as Villi said.

You mean hurl excrements at one's adversaries.

Yes, they can travel, but for the Imga to have any substance, personality and history, it would be much better for them to make an appearance in a region where they actually exist, so that we can experience their culture and character. I suppose they could just add some books about it, but that would be quite boring, in comparison. Of course, they should write books even if the game took place in Valenwood.

Otherwise, they would just seem to have been put in as a desperate act to find some new playable race. Like, "Hey, we can't add Dremora, or any Akaviri race, so what do we have left?"
"Well, there's the Maormer, and the Imga..."
"Oh, the monkeys! Yea, lets put those in, and give them a special poo-throwing ability!"

Mudcrabs should be a playable race as well.

It would be unbalanced. They're far too powerful.

Albeit not as bad as the Goblins. At higher levels, they're killing machines.

There's also the matter of how to handle the monkeys -- yes, we joke about poo-throwing, and such, but if Bethesda actually DOES implement them in a future game, one wonders whether they're going to be deluded gorilla-men or chimpanzee-psychopaths. If the latter, then they're going to be comic relief, not unlike the Bosmer (also underrated).

I think they would make a nice addition. Why not? And not all Imga are stupid, Monkey Prophet for example. He was insane, yes, but he was a great historic figure.

If they're like they're portrayed in The Dreadful Theft then they're going to be comic relief no matter what.

Play as a monkey? Who in their right mind would want to be anything even remotely close to a primate.

Only Khajiit and Argonians could be construed as "not primates" in TES.

It'd be cool to introduce the Imga in the next game. If the player got to travel to an Imga town and, let's say... meet Marukh's descendants.

It would appear that they're furry from these posts (judging by all the [censored] throwing coments), so wouldn't it make sense that they'd be in a cold envirionment; Skyrim?

I can name one kind, but you probably wouldn't think that they're real.

They've found footprints! Foortprints, I tell you!
