Immersion Ideas

Immersion for me is the appetizer for the main product. Ideas like Eating and sleeping, skills for pastime like fishing, blacksmithing, forging... Speak your ideas.

This whole forum is for this purpose... you can open individual topics for each aspect.

Immersion is definently a large topic. I am hoping its vastly improved from Oblivion, but Oblivion was not bad itself.
Darker caves, different reactions to things such as dead bodies (Or reactions at all...), eating and sleeping would be nice to an extent, darker nights, better bandits and generally more conversation topics and responses with voice acting.
There's a lot more I could say, but these are my main concerns.

Not gonna happen, nothing of it seeing as they've dumbed this kind of thing down from installment to installment ... the best we can excpect is the same as Oblivion

Shades keeps posting the idea of having two fatigue bars. A meta bar that is refilled by sleeping and eating and a minor one that has more to do with situational fatigue.

To take this one step further away from absolutely requiring food and sleep, have the meta bar determine the regen rate of the minor bar. Idea being that if the player really wants to they can chug restore fatigue potions or use spells to keep on going, and eating and sleeping are more inclusive than the simple "Well Rested" bonus from Fallout 3.

Any big objections to this?

Also I would like to see more repeatable odd jobs available from local vendors than there are quests for a guild. Or jobs through guilds.
Just something so 'working' in game is not always part of some grandious, intricate, dubious story.

Be able to break the monotony with monotony.
