Finishing moves in third person......watch it while taking a sip of beer.

Load times....two sips of beer.

I don't see how those make you lose immersion...really. :shrug:

How did you even locate that? The language used in patents is so obtuse, I wouldn't even know where to look.

I remember reading a gamer's blog about it a few years back. Something like "Things that stifle innovation in the gaming industry" or something like that. Anyway, remembering that article I just picked some careful search terms and I ended up finding the patent number in a couple minutes.

Also, that kind of patent REALLY makes me mad. It's pointless and stifles creation, it doesn't protect any real intellectual property. It's actually referred to as "patent trolling" and in many cases it's seen for what it is, and hard to enforce. Apple does this kind of thing a lot when they come up with the simplest function for using an ipod or ipod "A means of opening a program from within another program" or some such obvious action that is frankly necessary for operating most software.
