Original Post:
Let's face it, we all like Oblivion to be immersive. Some of us just like a bit more realism, others like to add tons of mods which change how the game works in order to make it as immersive as possible. One thing that's a real let down in vanilla Oblivion are interiors. They look great, but day or night, rain or shine, they always had the same level of light inside them. This, to me, was extremely un-immersive.

All Natural's spectacular Natural Interiors came along, which allowed you to see through the windows of interiors, and the light levels and weather depended on the weather and time of day outside. This added a lot of realism. But you still had a simple problem. Every time you looked out of the window, you saw a void. Nothing. This mod looks to change that.

With a similar concept to the now abandoned "Windows to the World", this mod aims to add statics from around the area into the interior cells. This makes it so that when you look through the windows, you see the town you're in. Sounds great, but what about performance? In order to make it as performance friendly as possible, only statics from around the actual windows are added. So if there's no window facing east, there will be no statics to the east. Whilst this may sound strange, from within the interior it looks absolutely fine, as you simply can't see that area. Why add something which you won't see anyway? Along with this, any unnecessary flora and rocks have been removed, along with all NPCs and actual lights.

For an example of what I mean, take these two screenshots.

Can you see the difference? Such a simple concept makes the game so much more realistic. Nothing beats looking out of your house windows to see the outside world in its full glory.

At the moment only a few Anvil building are done. However I'm looking at finishing Anvil within the next few weeks, and then moving on to the other cities.

More screenshots will be coming. If you have any questions regarding the mod, feel free to ask them :)

What you have produced and producing, means a lot to us too :) Any plaudits you receive are well merited.

On a perhaps helpful note, I see your persistently changing your header of TesNexus to hopefully get people that just feel, downloading and installing is all that is needed, to make sure they download All Natural. Would it also be worth noting that All Natural needs to be installed correctly also, as it does require BASH patch, and perhaps it is this that may be causing some peoples issues. It is after all, not the most user friendly Utility to install or figure out, but once learned is very valuable. I know I had to read All Naturals readme, several times to find what to do with Indoor Weather Filter.esp, as it isn't the clearest of instructions, especially to some one that is eager to try out, these things get overlooked, and can lead to much frustration. Anyway it's perhaps something to add, and I would hate for your obvious helpful nature to be spent up with being drained by others eagerness, ignorance, frustrations, what ever you wish to call it :)

Besides I have a feeling this month, is going to be a month for the "immersives", rather than the "cosmetics", REJOICE !!
(Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with Cosmetics, but you still have to play the game, and that's where a more Immerse environment in my opinion wins)

Off topic, but if you've got any suggestions as to how we can make the instructions clearer, please do tell, we're always looking to make it as easy to use and understand as possible.

Thanks a lot :)
It is hugely annoying, however it'll always happen and the majority of times it's just because they don't have All Natural installed at all. The bashed patch is more to do with All Natural and as Immersive Interiors, at the moment, doesn't need to be bashed, I don't think I'll confuse them even more by mixing the mods up :P

36 FOTM votes in less than two days. I'm stunned. Thanks so much guys :)

Just a quick update, Chorrol will be done in a week or two. The reason it's going to be slower than the Anvil and Skingrad releases is because I'm starting college tomorrow, which unfortunately means I have to actually bother with people now :P

It's coming along nicely though. Don't worry :)

Since Chorrol is obviously still in progress here in this thread, is it safe to say the file http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34435 is bogus?

Yes, it's a bogus virus file. I've reported it, remember all updates will be added to the existing TESNexus page by me.

Just QTP3 :)

Hopefully, we'll be looking at the real 0.6 Chorrol release some time next week, as long as I don't get too much RL work thrown at me :P

I won't lie, Chorrol has been an absolute nightmare due to the weird ground sloping it has. But I should have a release for you all by the end of this week :)

Hi.

Thanks for the mod and sorry to report I have a problem.

First, a confession. I play Oblivion on a Linux system using the Wine compatibility software. I have been running Oblivion at high quality graphics for a long time with no noticeable lag or graphic artifacts.

'All Natural' seems to work perfectly. 'Immersive Interiors' seems to work sort-of. I am getting 3D triangles with a large exclamation mark (!) mixed into the scene as seen through the window.
http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/8054/screenshotho.jpg

I suspect that I am being told by those odd artifacts that there are missing textures. Do you know any more specifics about these artifacts?

Another thing I should point out is that I don't have Shivering Isle so there are parts of the 'All Natural' that I cannot enable.

I still think it's a great mod and there is always the possibility that it is something in the Wine software although everything else in Oblivion has worked flawlessly and very smooth.

Big exclamation marks means missing meshes and it looks like you didn't install the meshes or installed them to the wrong folder try reinstalling and see if it works.

AHA!

Linux distinguishes between upper and lower case file names. I copy/pasted the NATint subdirectory from 'Data/meshes' to 'Data'Meshes' and it's working perfectly. Million thanks. I love this mod.

Something I find incredibly annoying about Linux too. It's led to several long frustrating debug sessions on my servers when something goes wrong and it turns out to be because the filename had a capital letter somewhere.

Sounds like that would be even more frustrating to deal with when gaming and having stuff like mods being unable to find their resources.
