Immortal Blood Time Line

Post » Wed Jan 06, 2010 2:09 am

Hey y'all. Im looking to join this RP and i was wondering if i could get a few pointers to set me off in the right direction including factions/people it would make sense to associate with. Im looking to create a somewhat minor character, being a traditional dunmer noble, where i would mostly be following the political/adventuring aspects. Figure i could start off as a merchant from a wealthy family with some political power (though that seems like it would be mostly irrelevant since this rp has nothing to do with morrowind.) and develop as the story moves on.

:twirl:

our bows...are like, this http://farm1.static.flickr.com/115/273526191_612689a681.jpg?v=0

Pointing in the wrong direction mate :P

Anyways, I think the Sun Birds would be pretty resistent to the Thu'um. It is simply a powerful Nordic War Magic, very brutal in usage. It'd be like a missile bombardment on a heavily energy shielded space vessel.

Think U.S.S Enterprise versus Anti-Aircraft missile silos and warheads. Lots of boom but very little Ka-pow.

And with all these timeskips I am completely lost and Samuel may as well be in his own little timeline with the BB :P

First of all, welcome to the Timeline.

Well, if you intend to RP a Dunmer noble you'd best be off waiting for Morrowind RP, which will come along... sometime... Although there are some Dunmeri troops on the side of the Nords (no one saw that one comming), if you wish you could join them, if you want to start somewhere this year.

If you intend to do a Bretic version of your character, however, Anticlere is a very lively place with a Venice-esque way of doing things, so such a character would fit right in.

There are several factions:

The Altmeri Dominion

The Wayrest Faction

The Nordic Confederation

(You can do an average dude, or freelance guy, whatever.)

and all of the little independent cities and stuff.

And, of course The Dark Brotherhood (which, I am the leader of, and Solidor and Ambrose are beast. So, we are pretty good.)

Thanks for the welcome : ) It sounds like it would be best to abandon the Dunmer idea, and i think the Nordic Confederation catches my eye the most.

In that case... (Throws away Anticlerian recruitment robes, moves Nord stuff closer)

I'll be your man in that case, the ruler of the Grand Duchy of Jehanna and the representative of the Nordic Confederation in High Rock.

The Nordic Confederation can offer a wide array of roles, from Breton peasants to Nordic officers or whatever; at the moment we're about to fight a big battle against Wayrest and all that, you're free to join. Any roles in particular you would desire?

P.S.: I would encourage potential Nordic members to read my article about the http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1011245.

I think at the moment a low ranking Nordic officer would be best for me. I want to get a hang of things so i think a minor role would be good hah.

If you want to continue your character here in other chapters of the Timeline, specifically Morrowind, I could offer the role of a huskarl of Skirgailo Mountain-Man, a noble from Riften who got lended to the King of Solitude so as not to screw up the fragile peace in the east with all his Dunmer hate. Additionaly there are many other troops and superiors to serve for.

Here is his sheet:
Name: Ongar Red-Hand
Race: Nord
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Birthsign: The Warrior

Physical Appearance: A very large Nord. Wears his black hair in long wind braids. He bears a large scar on his left arm, down the back of his shoulder. His Nose and ears are normal looking, but he is very tall and muscular, as the usual Nord. He bears very wide feet, and big hands, that help support his strength. His eyes are a light brown, this is because his grandmother is Imperial, an has passed down the dominant gene, through his eyes and hair. He wears plated Nordic Steel, and bears a steel longsword and shield, both bearing "Ysmir". He can use it well, better than most. His young athletic body fits well with his knowledge as not only a military strategist, but a true Nordic Warrior.

History: Ongar grew up in the large city of Whiterun, with his father and younger brother. His mother died in child birth, but his uncle was wealthy, as the Duke of Markarth side. His father had worked as a blade for years, and gave him combat training as a young boy. His brother was interested in more peaceful politics, and is now a dimplomat of Whiterun. His father, after retiring, worked as a smith, teaching Ongar the arts of forging. at the age of 13, Ongar went to live with his uncle, being trained and tought in the arts of military combat and strategy. Later, Skyrim invaded Morrowind, and Ongar took part in that as a centaurion. He was sent to command part of Rurik's infantry force in High Rock, even though he is good with calvary as well. We rides upon his own steed, a quick, white one. His uncle, Kalfgar, has no children, and Ongar is the heir to his throne. His uncle has now chosen to send reinforcements to Rurik, to give his nephew a true test.

Officers:

Holfgot: Holfgot is Ongar's second in command, a tall Nord with long braided hair. He wears steel armor, and is a ruthless soul.

Troops:

3000 of Rurik's Solitudian infantry

1000 Markarth Side infantry: Nords wearing mail, and the steel plates they can afford. They bear pikes, along with large, square steel shields and long swords.

3000 Markarth Side archers: Nordic archers wearing fur and leather armor, along with iron boots. The bear steel bows and arrows, and a steel dagger, for close combat situations.

3000 Markarth Side heavy cavalry: Nordic calvary in mostly full plated steel, bearing Nordic steel Broadswords. Most of them ride upon strong white steeds, although some of the less rich ride on painted horses. They bear long steel tower shields.

Pretty much, you are commanding Heavy cavalry. PM me, and I will give you all of the plans and stuff. My cavalry are probably the best portion of the Markarthian troops.

About time you started trying to catch up. :P I've done what, four? With two more in the works? Technically three, actually, since one is about two factions.

I don't think we have anything on them, although I was hoping to write a propaganda filled one somewhere along the line.

Part of me feels Voltaire wouldn't know as much about the Dominion as an Altmer scholar.

SCHOLAR WAR!!!

Alright, looks like I have an article to write. Before I do though, the Dominion includes Valenwood as well as Summuerset and the areas now controlled in High Rock, right?

We should open up a thread just dedicated to the lore articles, so they aren't scattered all over the place.

I was hoping to make Voltaire write some bits about baby eating and what not.

I do believe Summerset is also warring for Elsweyr right now, and has some portions of it. As the Empire chickened out *again* and pulled a 'whoops! let's flee!'. [/old Robin Hood game refference]

The thread first made for that purpose didn't seem to hold, though, as no one else seemed much interested in making up lore and I don't release them regularly.

BTW, mind you that I ran the Confederation article through with Immortal before posting it.

since i've been out of it for a bit, i'll repost my character sheets...

Name: http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/108/guillaumele6.jpg
Race: Breton
Age: 23
Physical Description: Pale, with sharp, angular features. He has brown eyes, and brown hair that is cut close in the front and shaved in the back. He is thin but strong.

History: Guillaume is the son of a Castellan in high rock. His family are of minor nobility, owners of an independent Castellany that owes allegiance to the kingdom of Wayrest. His father was notoriously bad with money, and he traded his sons to Wayrest as collateral for a large loan. When he defaulted, his oldest son and heir, Jean Molyneaux was traded to cyrodiil as punishment.

Guillaume escaped and returned to his fathers castle. Deeply angry at the loss of his older brother, Guillaume poisoned his father, sold his mother to a convent and took control of the castle. Due to his upbringing as a prisoner, Guillaume is completely illiterate. His servant, Eustace, a former slave is the only man he trusts to read things for him. After fighting in the Sentinelian war for both sides, He returned to his Castellany a rich man. Both in plunder, and in prisoners he was graced with luck. Using these funds he began to raise his own army, a small force trained in unison to the sound of drums and trumpets. Armed with four demi-cannons (a gift from the Redguards) he believes his small force to as formidable as an army of conscripts. Now, with his power secure, and his bodyguards efficient and loyal, He makes his bid for more power.

Armor: Segmented Nasal Helm with an over sized nasal that covers Guillaume's nose and mouth. The shell of the helmet is painted blue, and the reinforcing bands, red. There is normally a long yellow silf headband that is wrapped around the lowest band of the helmet, making it appear to be a headband. Chain-mail Hauberk that includes a coif, mouth piece, full arms, a mitten on the right hand and extends down to just above the knee. Underneath is a thin wool filled linen Aketon. On his legs he wears wool filled and padded braes in a white and maroon striped pattern.

Companions: Eustace, Guillaume's Breton servant.

Name: Simon Ozias
Race: Unknown, probably Breton, Nord or Reachman
Age: unknown, probably late 20s

Physical Description: When Ozias was a child he had fair hair, sapphire eyes and a handsome face. Some even dared call him handsome. Now that man is gone. Replaced by reeking bandages. Ozias is covered from head to toe in dirty white cloth, folded and wrapped and wrapped and folded until not a trace of his skin is showing. at certain parts, where there is lots of movement, like kneecaps, wrists fingers elbows and the like, the bandages look damp, though moist with what is uncertain. During the times that anyone might be able to see his full body, he is of a thin and wiry build that hides a great strength. http://img22.imageshack.us/i/63589179.jpg/
History: Not much is known about Ozias in the public mind. If one was a good historian, they would find the first written record of him in 3E 429 when a man by the name of Ozias Lazaar arrived at the Tel Fyr Corpusarium. He stayed there for one year, before leaving. Again he disappeared until 3E 433. At that time there is record of him purchasing a remote farmhouse south of Dunlain. Again, as before he drops from historical record until the current crisis.

Weapons:

Armor: A maile coat underneath a leather wrapped coat of plates. He wears a rounded steel cap as a helmet, His facemask however is Silvered steel, and well armored. Overtop it all he wears a black monastic robe that covers everything but his bandaged and masked head. He carries a heater shield with a simple painting of Saint Seryn in traditional artistic dunmer fashion.

Faction Name: The Leper Knights of Saint Seryn
Faction Sheet: 11 Knights of Saint Saryn. These men are equipped exactly like their leader, with the exception that they wear black woolen hoods over their helmets and masks. They were the healthiest and most able men taken from the Hospital of Saint Seryn, deep in the wilds of the reach. Each man has his own special skill, but they run the gamut from stealth to combat to magic to simple cooking. They have no hope and feel no pain, the ravages of leprosy having taken both.

hey guys, it's been quite a while! Judging from the looks of this page, hammerfell is done and high rock is starting/started. Am I correct? And how did Hammerfell end? Who won, who lost, who died? I may consider joining up again, although rightnow I'm here to write a story.

SoS got a compromise ending with Sentinel breaking free and becomming the most powerful city-state of Hammerfall but some south-western Hammerfall cities still remaining loyal-ish to the Empire. No one important really died, although the leadership of Sentinel remains shady and I don't know whether Haroun is supposed to be dead or alive.

Name: Dragomir
Age: 37
Race: Unknown, of mannish origins
Gender: Male

Appearance: Of middling height and stocky build, Dragomir is an unobtrusive figure. He is somewhat handsome. His mop of curly brown hair is parted at one side, and hangs down below his ears. He has an upturned button nose and curious brown eyes. While clean, he has rough hands and there is a permanent carpet of stubble on the lower half of his face, despite his maintained side-burns. There is nothing particularly distinctive about him.

Arms: An old broadsword; honed and oiled with care but has the tell-tale nicks and dints of old age - doesn't quite shine like the castle-forged steel it once was.
Armour: A mail shirt, coif, and leathers. A rounded iron cap sits on his head, and the wanderer also bears a red-painted roundshield.
Belongings: Dragomir's horse might have been sired by a destrier in the past, but the beast is a little thin to live up to what it might have been. In his saddle bags, Dragomir keeps a few personal items - some food, razor and strop, a small looking-glass, a couple of old books, some maps, a whetstone, a hammer, some rags and a change of clothes.

Points of Interest: Dragomir's father served as a man-at-arms and once was even in the household guard of a lordling sometime in the past. Inheriting the surcoat and shield which attest to this history, Dragomir is reminded to one day make a life for himself, and hopes that with such an anecdote, a real lord might take Dragomir under his wing. At 37, he's getting a little old for such hopes and still wanders as a sellsword.

History: Dragomir comes from an insignificant background as the son of a serjeant, somewhere in High Rock. His mother died in childbirth and his father was dead too by the time Dragomir reached manhood. The keep where he was raised didn't want him anymore, so Dragomir sold the belongings of his family that weren't immediately useful and then set off to see the world. Attempts here and there at settling down with permanent jobs have been fruitless, though in wartime, a man with a sword and the ability to read and ride may prove useful to some up jumped lordling in need of retainers.

Not really worried about where he ends up, but I want my wanderer to join somebody's army during or after this battle at Dunkarn. :)

Well, I seem to be getting ill, I don't know if it's that Frenchie place I went to last night or what...
So, if I'm gone, there is your reason.

@ Solidor: Our Bows were the first prototypes of Ballistas.

@ Greenpact: Welcome to the IB Timeline. I know it wasn't long ago when I was a child of the confederation myself, but times have passed, and now I have a house to rent, bills to pay, food to put on the table...
It's not that grand. :I

Lord of Tulune is dead. @ the person that hired me (undisclosed), Valen has the money you payed. Although, it would be nice to kill somebody who is controlled by a player, no just have Rhano play baseball with a bladed crossbow.

Yea Greenpact, get working on your sheet, so you can join our vicious army.

Also, the name of the head officer of the Dunmer Mages is Arethan Andas.

Arethan wears a long black ponytail. He is a moderately sized Dunmer, a master at magic. He wears Daedric armor, and bears a daedric longsword.

Now, I know that is uber, but Jonas Vault made them, and he left, so I will do my best to cut a lot of uberness, although, they will be shooting fireballs.

@ Solidor: Our Bows were the first prototypes of Ballistas.

Prototype as in not yet perfected piece of weaponry which has never been used before so may not perform up to the standards you expect? I just dont think one hole in a magic flying boat will do much. Trebuchet with a flaming wreck of crap on it? I'd prefer to see that. Free fire works.

Now, I know that is uber, but Jonas Vault made them, and he left, so I will do my best to cut a lot of uberness, although, they will be shooting fireballs.

Could change the weapons and armour you know.
Just a thought.
