EDIT: Knights of the Nine never have parties like the Ra Gada.

That's because Lysandra is responsible for getting rid of wild partygoers. Who do you think I meant by 'undesirable elements'. Obviously it's those embarrassing uncles who get drunk and try to hit on everyone and cousins who end up running about with their underwear on their head that she gets rid of.

Hawt. I wanted to give you a chance to respond before going into the room that's why I didn't post last night.

So how public is this quest for the Sword of Prince A'tor going to be? I wouldn't mind another character who gets involved in this.

Is there room for a wandering monk with more connections and influence then a monk should have, and morals that one wouldn't expect from a humble monk?

If you wanna get involved in an adventure quest thing, you could wait for a bit. We worked some stuff out with Story and it should be quite great, involves blast points bite marks too accurate weird for nomads. Only Sload raiders are so precise.

Mr. Vamp&Wolf, your imperial could probably be in the court of Haroun. Would make sense for a diplomat ya know?

Meh. He was going to be a monk who works for someone powerful who also seeks the sword and after getting his monk-hands on it, he was going to steal it to get rich by bringing it back to his boss, likely killing the Ra'gada with him out of necessity. He seeks riches and power you see, so the Sload one you mentioned would not fit him so well. That does seem interesting though, even if you did steal Crimson's Star Wars reference.

Pure fail (jk of course). Shall we decide the outcome of the merc meeting then OOC, or shall me and Crimson's Lich attend whilst assuming you sit there quietly?

Well in that case he wouldn't fit in too well, yeah. Also, joke stealing is all the rage, everyone who's anything does it.

The character would have been so much more awesome if his depth was not fully revealed in one post within this thread before we ever started the story arc.

Blade, my good man, go with the flow. You'll know how accessible the plot will be, and in the end will be able to work your character into it once it arrives. I have no intention of leaving you adventure oriented type characters without....adventure.

EDIT: For some reason posting as Haroun in the Sentinel throne room gives a cozy feeling only matched by playing Morrowind.

Lawl. I suppose I should have mentioned that ship had sailed from my mind long ago. It was mostly a combination of a day of school and a large timmies coffee getting my brain going to combine with watching Princess Mononoke 3 times the previous day... Creativity is clearly not my strong point when I base my characters off an anime character Billy Bob Thorton plays

Vorandaril was originally based off a Sith (as an opposite to the Jedi-like Ansei) but he ended up more like a Protoss High Templar.

Hmm, I don't suppose you and Squid would want to have Stanet and Belisarius talk until I get back do ya? Well if you guys want to move on without me and do the meeting then just have Arethan get a messaage from a guard and have to leave, then I'll have him come back in later and discuss things with Stanet.

Damn, there are other Sith-based characters here? Pretty soon we will be backstabbing each other for power.

Draken's sister is based off a Sith too. She's the Darth Sidious/Palpatine of the Cyrodilic Empire. Draken is sith-like as well since he is a member of the Order which basically encourages their member to deceive and manipulate their tools. Something Darth Bane taught Darth Zannah. He is also pretty dam arrogant and angry. Which is both his strength and weakness.

But anyways, which Sith is vorandaril based off of?

Word. RPing Anticlerians again and this whole celebration in Sentinel makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Hopefully I'll be able to smuggle Manfred in for a brief cameo, as well as finally actually show Wilfred's wife (third RP that she existed in and she just got a name, kinda lame for her considering the second one included their wedding) and maybe bring forth another couple of characters from Queen's Waltz, like that easily pissed off city guard who may or may not be remembered from greeting that boatload of emissaries that flooded Anticlere the moment Manfred left for the wedding.

Damn, there are other Sith-based characters here? /sigh.

I had a very vaguely Sith inspired character in times lost, though it was only in his spellcasting - the guy's magick was tied strongly to his emotions, allowing him impressive and unusual for his age, if unreliable and difficult to control, feats of magic.

Mentioning him makes me think I should use a similar character for the adventure thing. For some reason the fact magick comes through the sun and the stars and thus could be interpreted to be present everywhere that natural light is never fails to do it for me (see Lysandra's resonances for latest proof). Now that I mentioned her, I'm kinda looking forward to the time when she meets Vorandaril; as a trained battlemage and taught as a priestess, she would most likely be able to see something is off with him (obviously not instaguess 'that guy is a lich!', that would be lame).

Count Dooku; he's arrogant, snooty, and skilled in telekinesis and fencing.

Well it really depends. Did you plan on arguing with me? :P If so, then I suppose me ans Squid could hold off (if Squid wants) so we can have an interesting meeting. If squid has to, he can move Stanet into the future with everyone else and when you get back we can conduct the meeting in the past?

But unless squid actually plans on not hiring one of us (which would be interesting), then there won't be much to the meeting other than tossing out info and asking for gold.

Damn you! Darth Tyranus is a good character that I adopted some of his traits into my character. A very interesting character that Dooku. You have good taste sir. But I liked to blend in most Sith characters into mine. A healthy combination.

Each of these characters represented a different dimension of I made a character of mine to be in the Elder Scrolls. Darth Maul represented ferocity and a lack of patience and ruthlessness for insubordination, Darth Tyranus(Count Dooku) represented eloquence and gentlemanly posse, and Grievous represented the generalistic, coniving, and unforgiving traits that make a high-ranking military man as powerful as he darn well wants to be. So I combined them a bit into a Darth Vader-esque character(Minus the suit).

Note: I realize General Grivious is no Sith, but he still is under the command of two Sith.

I am looking forward to that too. I love it when two moral sides conflict each other. A lich masquerading as a normal person. Brilliant. Too bad him and Draken can't be friends. "Oblivion" made them enemies. Vampires and Liches don't make good allies even if they are undead. I might whisper to Lysandra that Vorandaril is a lich :P

I'd say Lysandra is actually the more 'evil' of the two (at least from what I've seen of Vorandaril), for lack of a better term, in spite of being part of a religious order. She's not big on the whole pious knights thing and, if tipped off about this, would be more likely to bide her time and see if this could benefit her somehow rather than whip out the Spanish Inquisition. But a mage battle, if it somehow were to happen, between the two would definitely be interesting, centuries of experience but with limited training vs less experience but fresh training from the nigh-legendary Imperial Legion battlemages.

PS: General Grievous FTW.

I'm all about discussing characters and inspiration, but this thread's purpose is the roleplay and any posts not involved with that got to be exed. Star wars talk can be done via pm or IM. Its a privilege to have this thread, these ooc threads were not always allowed.

I was very fond of that guard PFA, it would be funny to see him, as well as a cameo with Manfred. I'm sure the fate of the world would do well to be discussed over a boxing match or play amongst two capable men of great power. It would also give me excuse to bring in Gosic of Artaeum.

Sorry. Meh, I forgot about these cruel and stupid rules in the forums. Let's talk about the story in the RP.

Well, I'm going to be gone for the next week, which could strongly limit my ability to post. I'll try to squeeze a post in before I go.

As for Vorandil being a lich, I think everyone can tell something is off based on his voice and tendency to float around, but I don't think anyone can figure out he's a lich without some serious additional evidence.
