Immortal Blood Timeline Discussion

Well the point is that he is more of a backstage character. He's not going to effect the plot much but he'll bring depth to the overall story with the flexibility to play BOTH sides of the field. His thief element is almost a comedic addition to the story, especially if no other player takes notice and has a hand in trying to catch him he's going to get away. He is not inherently good or bad, he's just trying to make it in as comfortable a way as possible. In his quest to the top it also gives the opportunity for him to be sent on a special "assignment" for his current patron making way for further possibilities to encounter other people. quiet the flexible addition if you ask me.

WerewolfVampire: That could be a good idea, where would he be to accidentally run into?

Something just occurred to me. What do we consider the Adrenaline Rush power inherit to all Ra'gada? would that be Yokudan magick? or Eastern Magick?

I assume that Adrenaline Rush isn't a spell at all, but the games don't really have a better way to represent something that you can only do once per day than a Greater Power. In Morrowind, Argonians had to use a 0-magicka spell to activate their water breathing (although they fixed in in Oblivion).

I would err on the side of Adrenaline Rush not being a magical effect at all; Redguards/Ra Gada just have more of an adrenaline response than other races do. I think its appearance as a spell in the games has more to do with mechanics than it does lore/verisimilitude. Chances are, a Ra Gada doesn't wave his hand in the air and cause a burst of blue light when he gets excited; he just gets excited.

Ahhh, would make sense, I didn't even think about it just being game mechanics :banghead:

Since nothing's happening, I guess I'll ask a question; what are the naval capabilities of the opposing factions?

I'm with ya brotha, it's sloooow. I can't speak for Rihad, but I know Sentinel is pretty well off. Sentinel's navy has cannon's plus it wouldn't be a far stretch to assume their pretty well manned, the Ra'gada being famed sailors and all. As for number though, idk. Oh, you plan on coming after Hasturbal Crimson?

I agree with Squid on the Adrenaline Rush. I OB it was more for game mechanics, but in an RP I think it just gives the Redguards more adrenaline because they are skilled warriors and I guess it's in their genes?

How big exactly are these cannons? Like, gigantic-o ones almost as tall as a man kind of early model thing?

They're gonna head back to Taneth with their wounded, their dead, and some of the dead Nomads. The nomads have the home advantage, it'd be suicidal to chase them out into the wilderness. Heck, it'd be suidical to stick around where they are right now. Not to mention the drama that will come up when they realize he killed a bunch of prisoners, even if it wasn't his fault.

Early model type.

Ahhh, your night eye move made me think they were gonna chase him down. Idk about much of an advantage, you've got em outnumbered and out gunned, but I can't wait to see what drama unfolds heh.

My Imperial nobleman/almost politician character. If there is anything wrong with his profile, let me know.

Name: Draken Decumus Vladmirius

Race: Imperial

Hair: Black

Birthsign: The Warrior

History: Draken Decumus Vladmirius was born into a wealthy household of Cyrodilic nobleman. At a young age, Draken was taught how to behave, now to confront problems, how to live a life as royalty in the family by his father Alucardius. Despite these teachings, Draken was rather rebellious and often getting into arguments with his younger sister. Nevertheless, he learned much in his political station and aristocratic backround, especially from his manipulative family. As the years passed, Draken became owner of his manor in Skingrad, a town where he felt peverserly safe due to an "honorable" & "strong" leadership the Count of Skingrad provides. Draken travels to other Provinces frequently, but not as much as he would like due to contraints and burdens of travel, which is why Draken uses many people to do the traveling for him, whether diplomatic or other. Not much else is known about Draken, as his personal social circle of allies and family consist of secretive individuals as well. Strangely, some rumors had persisted he knew something and was even involved in the Dark Brotherhood, but the rumors ceased with proper pursuasion and proof. What is known by the general population of the Cyrodilic people on Draken's personal life is that he indeed is wealthy and very charismatic. He learned he must have a strong influence on others who are otherwise to weak to make their own decisions. This brought Draken to work in the halls of the Imperial Palace and many other covert organizations.

http://oi51.tinypic.com/2zegght.jpg http://oi52.tinypic.com/2v3oobc.jpg stands 1.51 meters tall. He has wavy black hair and a very smooth skin color. With his grueling training in martial arts, sword combat and assassination. His body is fit and well-built, he bears no scars in his body at all. Depending in the circumstances(Weather, location and other) Draken's skin can often turn more pale than usual, making him appear sickly and diseased. Even aside from these minor issues, Draken is considered handsome and fetching from most of the women who lay eyes upon him, Human, Mer and beast-folk alike.

Armor/clothing: Draken does not use much armor in his travels, as they are less violent than he believes they are. He is capable of taking care of himself without the use of armor, but even so, Draken trained himself in the Imperial Legion when he was younger and has knowledge of using a heavy armor. Draken more often than not, is seen with a Black & Bergundy outfit or red linen shirt and pants. But most of the time, Draken is using his red velvet shirt and pants along with gold trimmed shoes.

Weapons: Draken is found carrying an ancient katana forged long ago. A symbol to Draken of honor, glory and life over death. Also, he carries a jagged-edged dagger he earned not too long ago in his life around. He also carries a few more insidious weapons at his disposal such as Poison Choke Berries and Poisoned Apples.

Personality: While not as naturally adept at manipulation and deception as his sister, Draken is quite intelligent. Like his sister, Draken was an extremely mischievous youth. He saw rules as challenges, to be avoided and evaded when at all possible. Draken always had a knack for exploration, when his own curfew was set, he would sneak away from home while his parents slumbered and explored nearest towns and villages. As he grew older and was wiser in the philosophies of his family, he was noted for being secretive and mysterious. He was frequently withdrawn from society and people in general, and spoke little about his experiences in life. He was willing to take actions that people found morally "wrong" for the sake of what he saw as a greater good.

Due to his own personality and nature, Draken increasingly sought to command his environment, becoming uncomfortable when he was not in charge of his actions, feelings, and surroundings. Draken also was willing to take more extreme action, such as the attempted massacres of familie's related to bandits who robbed him and adopting a mentality of rule by terror and manipulation. In his brutal and secretive lifestyle, Draken learned to remain ignognito from wordly problems of society unless called for. Yet, he carries himself as a civilized nobleman with many

Skills: He was trained in melee combat, adopting the various forms of Martial Arts taught in various provinces. Among this skill, Draken was a proficient and accomplished duelist in the art of the sword and blade. Able to hold his own using a sword, a dagger or any blade. While Draken is a fierce warrior, he is known by those closest to him to be skilled and highly trained in stealth, infiltration, and assassination.

Other: Draken's only magical ability other than his "natural" abilities, is to use fire spells against his enemies. Fire, a bane to his own existence, would be used against his enemies and opponents. While not being a master mage, Draken could create fireballs or a generally charged up fire attack against his foes.

Misc items: A sack of gold. Two cherished books he also carries in his travels. A few bottles to drink from to ease the mind and other things.

Is Draken a vampire? You never explicitly state it, but that's kind of the impression I get from reading the sheet and looking at the pictures, especially considering that you say fire is the bane of his existence even though Imperials don't have any particular weakness to fire.

Fire is bane to everyone's existence. It burns and is very unpleasant haha. Well, the pictures is just how Draken looks like, his basic apperance. I don't remember saying Draken was a vampire. I mean, if that's the impression you got at first.

Just copy/paste Wooly's post into a Word document so you can view it on demand, and then type up your post in a separate Word document. When you're done, hold down the WLAN button so you can copy/paste your reply into the forum's editor and submit it. Enter your BB code tags manually; it shouldn't be more than a minor inconvenience.

It's alright, with a lot of banging and frustrated button mashing I seemed to have made it work :P

I'll have a post up tomorrow, and sorry for not getting on as much as I normally do, Dragon Age 2 has been occupying my time

Good to hear it worked out. Also, no big deal about the Dragon Age; when Skyrim comes out, you guys won't see me for at least a week. Then again, I bet most of you will also be doing the same thing, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue!

Jesus, Story! I need to be careful what I say... This is just one giant conspiracy, isn't it, Story/Phatasm/Raisin? Just some mind game...

I bet you're also ImmortalBlood; that would explain how you get away with the constant mockery of his posting style.

That all just stems from his brother like friendship with me, I've known him long enough and I'm pretty sure we've crossed all kinds of boundaries in insulting each other that would make the forum police go crazy.

As for adrenaline rush, I agree whole heartedly with Squidmasher.

My take is that the Ra gada produce an insane amount of adrenaline, and simply have bodies that can handle it. During Haroun's fight with Serosi, he had a little dragon ball z moment when he went into adrenaline rush: bulging muscles, tunnel vision, with all the benefits included of being an awesome redguard. None of it was represented as a magical technique, just the body working extra hard.

Its a busy day at work so I'll have a post coming in soon, but unlikely to happen right at the moment.

That's weird, because just yesterday I was watching a programme on Discovery Science on (amongst other things) how a teenager managed to save his uncle by lifting a whole car off him and thought 'wow, this information would be great for RPing an adrenaline rush'. It was a whole bunch of stuff and I can't remember half of it, but there was an interesting bit about how humans have a well developped some or other part of the brain that makes us think twice and doesn't let us access our full body potential and in a 'fight or flight' situation that part of the brain goes ignored. So maybe for Ra Gada it just takes less to trigger a fight or flight reaction from the body than, say, for an Imperial and access 100% (or close to that) of their potential. Some more prevalent racial characteristics (quick to anger, oftentimes don't think things through etc.) could maybe back this up.

I bet I would sound more impressive if I could recall more of the fine details, but the gist of the matter is there.

Also, asapp, feel ashamed, I managed to make a post while playing Mass Effect 2! TREMBLE AT MY GAME RESISTING PO- (post is discontinued due to Mass Effect 2, we appologize for the inconvenience)

I'm much more of a Breton person myself. Redguards would probably come in third, after them and Nibenese.

What thing where? Because I've got several things going on. If the thing in question is the Anticlerian delegation, though (would make most sense seeing as its the last thing I unveiled), that thing doesn't need hired muscle at all, it's merely a fluff thing.

Furthermore, thing.

So I checked the map, but is there any particular civilized place where nobles and politicians could hang out for a cup of whine and some.....extra nightly activities? Sentinel maybe.

EDIT: Mass Effect 2 is awesome. I am now making a female Shepard after I beat the game as male. Renegade ftw!

I'm sure you could make something like that up easily, there's bound to be someplace like that in Rihad or Sentinel. Those would be my top picks for this sort of place anyway, being the largest and richest cities of Hammerfell.

And, risking going off topic a bit too much, but this is an odd coincidence since I'm right now playing a female Renegade Shepard that I ported over from the original Mass Effect. Headbutting Krogan FTW.

bathing in blood, its good for your skin!

Oh yes it is. Yum.

Oh and Sentinel does have a noble spot. Guess I can make my way there and we could meet. And another important question, I take it it's daytime in Sentinel right? I need to know.
