There are week long festivities in Sentinel concerning the anniversary of Thassad III's death, a lot of politicians and characters of import would find opportunity in meeting with the people of power in the Yokudan Empire there. Empress Roxanna Barca foremost, along with hundreds of ministers, magistrates, officers, businessmen and such. The roleplayers to contact would be myself, Tidus Maximus, Rockstar, Person from Anticlere, or woolymammoth.

Also, who does your character really work for? Highrock has many kingdoms. I do recall Anticlere having an order of spies and agents, League of Shadows. (self-advertisemant as I wrote them up when I rped as Phantasm)

Oh yeah forgot to mention that I was the Lady Phantasm and rped for a short stint in Queen's Waltz.

Did that thing where I pretend to be someone I am not, for no other reason but not having to explain an absence. Decided that I liked my Psijicc though and wanted to bring him back later on as Manfred's council.

EDIT: I will be posting up tomorrow, probably the evening time for the rest of you. Been a rough day and trying to get that sleep on.

Cross dresser...

Anyway I was gone for the past days or so and I won't post tonight either as I am dead tired (might go to bed before 3 AM tonight) and until then I need to do some stuff. But im back.

Also story you disgust me.

Ok so your character is definitely a vampire. Also, why not follow the roleplay your involved in and simply know when its night? Just as you would ask we read your posts, we'd ask you read ours.

Also story you disgust me

Your just mad because I took away your forum crush.

EDIT: By the way its not looking like I can post until sometime tomorrow, I'm preparing a class to teach a few guys about things I don't really understand all too well myself so I'll be busy. Reading up on everyone's posts though.

Looks like this RP has a lich, a werewolf, and a vampire. We should have them walk into a bar together.

That all just stems from his brother like friendship with me, I've known him long enough and I'm pretty sure we've crossed all kinds of boundaries in insulting each other that would make the forum police go crazy.

Or you are the forum police, and that's why nobody's ever busted you two. Yep, you're Story/Raisin/Phatasm/Rohugh, aren't you?

Mhmm, you guys really love redguards don't you?

You really love vampires and lycanthropes, don't you?

But in all seriousness, I think Redguards are pretty cool. Granted, their mindset and culture is pretty alien to my sensibilities, so I could never really roleplay one, but I do enjoy reading about them. They're definitely in my top 3 favorite races, though, behind Argonians and Orcs.

If you need some hired muscle for your little thing there PFA, you know who to call ;)

Hey, no need to go to other potential clients! Your characters have the second appointment with Stanet after the meeting with Haroun and company ends. If you want, your guys and Asap's guys can even fight over the first appointment.

That'd actually be pretty cool, because Athanden is a hard-ass who doesn't like being pushed around.

And I'll post for all three of my char's when I reply for the mercenary meeting, I'm trying to find a good way to introduce Cyrus and at the same time I'm trying to think of what to discuss between Arethan, Rithe, and Swims.

Crimson, a quick answer to your question of the Shehai: Redguard magic from Yokuda is called Dura-hi, unique to the continent and a completely different system from the Galieronic systems of Nura-hi in Tamriel, which would be the magic your lich would use. A bound longsword formalizes into a weapon, but the shehai is unaffected by spells of reflect or shield, or even a Daedra forming into a blade.

This got me thinking, does that mean if it's unaffected by magical barriers, shouldn't that mean that magical barriers shouldn't be affected by it? I mean, I always envisioned that magical barriers (such as the Ghostfence and the barrier in Sancre Tor), if successfully cut into, would reform like a liquid.

I wouldn't even go as far as magical barriers reforming like liquid when cut by a shehai. I imagine the interaction of something like Ghostfence and a shehai to be more like a video game clipping error than anything else. The shehai would stick through Ghostfence unhindered, and Ghostfence wouldn't react to the shehai at all; no damage, no flowing away, no weakness.

Easy. Use arrows, javelins, spells, and whatever other ranged weapons you have to kill the Ansei from afar, which gets rid of his shehai. I suppose the Ansei probably also have a way of negating shehai, but I don't know for sure or what it is.

By barring its wielder; a magical barrier may not stop a Shehai, but it will stop the Ansei wielding it.

Edit: And of course, like Squid says, lots and lots of ranged weapons. Just like the Droid army at the Geonosis Arena in Star Wars Episode II. Even with heightened reflexes and being able to deflect blaster bolts, the Jedi were still initially defeated until the Clones showed up.

I think we should attempt to have some sort of messenger database we could use and get together. I suggest hotmail messenger accounts. You don't have to download anything. Just make a hotmail account and then go to www.meebo.com and use that proxy messenger site to log in. PM for my messenger.

The meeting is indeed done, still trying to figure out if having Haroun stay in RIhad is better than a quick trip to Riverview and resting the forces while discussing business and letting the men have a decent meal and rest.

Shehai time: The Shehai being unrelated to Nudri-hi would mean that they would simply work through each other. In game terms it would work something like a sword that ignores a 100%shield while your shield would also ignore the blade, no collision what so ever, however your meaty fleshy parts inside that shield would be affected by the shehai.

I don't think that the Shehai is something that can be negated IB, it is said after all that an Ansei's Shehai cannot be taken away without also taking away his mind. Therefor death or some type of mind control would be the answer, ranged attacks and magic would work best against the Ansei. I try to avoid Shehai's being involved in fights with other players although I'm sure it would be inevitable (Serosi's encounter with Akronos and running into the Invincible Four being the only example I could remember). Especially when you take into account the capability of one Ansei (Makela Leki and three other Ansei killing thousands of Orcs and Bretons at the battle of Bangkorai pass). I prefer to keep the Shehai's mystique, and feel that incorporating it into this roleplay along with a frequent number of Ansei would be doing the Warriors of the Spirit sword a great injustice.

Bah, Jedi scum. Sith forever! Still love the Clone Troopers, they helped bring order and justice to the galaxy.

Oh I love to read your posts. Some even speak of the weather, to give me an update. But most it's just dialogue. While I love to read it, I will be assured when someone says "My next post will be night time". I always read everyone's post, you are all good Rper's and you help keep the story flowing.

I never said that my character was a vampire. It just makes sense for a nightly festival rather than daytime.

So a personal shield would be useless, but a larger barrier would be completely unnegatable (provided that's a word), so long as you stay a few steps back.

Truth be told, lore wise I think that while it exists it isn't as powerful as the stories say. But things are vague enough that it's not lore-breaking.

I think the shehai is just as powerful as Story says it is. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:From_The_Memory_Stone_of_Makela_Leki describes an Ansei with her shehai slicing through enemies "like a scythe through wheat." The Ansei also cuts through the King Joile's magical armor in one blow, so it's fairly evident eastern magic can't really stop the shehai. Furthermore, the shehai is described as "invincible" in contrast to the Ansei's own magical armor, which suggests a great deal about its power.

So what's the deal with the sword of A'tor? I was thinking of involving myself with the more adventure aspect of the Timeline, but the only options - short of starting something myself, which I'm not too keen on doing since the attention of the RP is already divided, unless someone wants to brainstorm? - seem to be the horde going after Serosi (which I'm not intending to join, since Serosi already has a small town chasing him, it'd get a bit ridiculous with even more people) and whatever's going on with the sword.

Well I sort of consider it to depend on how you use magic. For example what is a shield spell? A spell of alteration. In what ways can that be used? Most people just imagine "energy" focusing and making a barrier. But there could be other ways as well. Perhaps a collapse of space fabric, the change of air on a molecular level. Another example would be a fire spell. Most just imagine, ok magic energy turns to fire. But perhaps one compresses the air, seperates and isolates oxygen, and then ignites and manipulates the air currents to create the fire spell. There are different manners. A "resistance to magic" spell would work against a magic energy to fire spell, but would it work if one simply ignited air and the air itself became lit? Then you would have to rely on a fire resistance spell itself. Just like if you had 100 percent magic resistance a basic fire spell wouldn't harm you but if someone threw a pot of burning oil at you, all the same.

When Haroun gets back, Ruhk is going to call him up on his cell, and they are going to go get the sword in an epic adventure quest.

As for the Shehai, it can't be stopped. But the Raga don't have magical stuff like mages, so really, it balances out. Besides Crimson, there are only a few hundred 2nd level Ansei in the entire Empire that can use the Shehai. It isn't like they number in thousands. Just deal with the Redguards having the things they are really really good at. It can't be changed.

EDIT:

And IB, you can connect your msn to your meebo.

And btw, I am waiting for some of you boys to post.

I would think there are less than a hundred 2nd level Ansei in the Yokudan Empire. The lore suggests that forming a functional shehai (not the crappy fake one 1st level Ansei get) is only possible for a tiny minority of sword-singers, so I would be shocked to find there are more than fifty or a hundred 2nd level Ansei.

Yeah, I know. I'll post for Swims today.
