"How else would we get it out of her?" Cameron said to the Bretan crouching next to him.
They where standing over the twisting body of Ariana, their sister, who had been shot in the chest by a trap while they where exploring the ruins they had been forced into.
The object now protruding from her chest looked like a shard off of a crystal vase which was now glowing.
"What can you say? In Celtic your name means "crooked nose"." Aiden said.
"I never should have let you near my library." Cameron muttered, putting on gloves.
"Why does everything intresting have to be Ayleid!" Aiden said and pounced behind a rock.
Cameron sighed and ,as quickly as possile, pulled the shard from her chest.
Ariana gasped and began looking around madly.
Aiden peered over the rock and saw Ariana pull Cameron closer and whisper something.
Cameron's eyes widened and he looked up at Aiden.
"Move!" He yelled.
"Which direction!" Aiden yelled back.
"Finder, healer, unhollowed-" Cameron's mad rant was quickly ended by an arrow peircing the back of his brain stem.
Everything seemed to go in slow motion for Aiden then.
There was an explosion which propelled the rocks blocking the caved in hallway.
The explosion threw Ariana into the water as she began froathing at the mouth and eyes.
Aiden felt an eminse amount of pain in the area of his jugular vien.
He looked down and saw that the shard now protruding from his throat.
A seven foot tall being wearing a large black cloakpushed through the rocks. It was holding a crossbow and a barbed longsword.
Aiden stood there, still unable to move.
Then it ran the five foot longsword fully through him and lifted him of the stone bridge and over the water.
It was then that he heard the voice in his head, "Give me your soul and you shall live as long as I exsist."
The voice was in his head but it didn't seem to emit from the being. Inteas it seemed to be from the shard
He felt the metal gauntlet wrap around his neck then and begin pulling him from the sword.
Blood, now streaming from his mouth, nose, ears, and eyes, began falling upwards as he fell twords the water.
"Your choice."
