I heard about this game called Skyrim, it's not bad. Do that, it'll come in handy.

It's too easy man...I put it on master and still kill everything.

Its that time of the month guys, brainstorming for future timeline roleplays. I'll go ahead and present some and would love to hear what everyone has in mind as well as their preferences.

So idea number 1) Catastrophe on legs- If anyone is familar with a tarrasque from DnD, I had a similar idea concerning the Dominion and the Valenwood Bosmer enacting a Wild Hunt making an army of monsters and a walking behemoth the size of a castle mowing all before it. I feel this would be a great way to throw in a sense of urgency and "we all gun die" into the timeline, where it would tie up the armies of various factions (Yokudan Empire would focus on working with confederation then against them to defend Hammerfell) and the Knights of the Nine going to defend Cyrodiil against a more pressing threat. While the armies and rulers have their hands tied up with facing off against the hordes of the Wild Hunt, an elite group of adventurers is dispatched and tasked with taking down the epic beastie. This roleplay would be much smaller and focused, with the destruction of the behemoth being the ultimate goal, one not easily come across as it proves highly resistant to magic and weapons.

Also had a vague idea of instead of the Dominion sending a wild hunt, a ship from Akavir sails to Tamriel, a Tang Mo ambassador explains that the Snow Demons of Kamal are invading Tamriel again, under the leadership of the new Demon King, who freezes the ocean beneath him.

Idea number 2) A group of mercenaries and adventurers sail through a river from Morrowind into Blackmarsh, escorting a group of researchers searching for the Eye of Argonia. Along the journey the group will encounter bandits, were-crocodiles, a swamp leviathan, a Blackmarsh prison (which they escape from) and even an encounter with a Wamasus. In the end the group of mercenaries discover that there is more to the Eye of Argonia then being shared, and that the journey was even more dangerous then they imagined. I think this would be great for just throwing in that epic feel with adventure roleplays while fleshing out Argonia and taking a break from our "conventional" roleplay so to speak.

Idea number 3: The cyrodiil rp we have all discussed previously.

I had a similar idea with the river thing but set in Valenwood.

I like number two, honestly. Bland on paper. One seems out of character for some characters. Three seems like it hasn't been pieced together yet. I wouldn't mind doing something straight up adventure-like where we could make new characters and pull a new region into timeline lore.

If your welcoming new folks, I'd very much like to be apart of this. I like idea 2 from that above list also.

I'm also in favor of number 2. It sounds epic.

I still want number 3. Cyrodiil needs some love. Plus it has the advantage of being more sandbox-ish yet with very high stakes.

I have to say I'm pretty excited about all three. Lets hear more about what people want to see, that way us old hands can begin forming an interesting OP and in depth plot.

Absolutely, but I do want you to exercise more situational awareness as we have stated many times in every thread we always accept people. Welcome to the Timeline family.

Same here.

3 is great for a future IBT RP, but once again, I feel as though we can't do it justice right now. We need something where everyone's characters are close by and interacting all the time. Something small scale and fun. I feel like we're driving a manual right now and we keep trying to start it off in 5th gear. We need to start back down at something simple and easy then work back up to something like a Cyrodiil RP.

I personally like the concept of battle RPs. But we never really seem to get them off the ground soon enough. Usually I think the writers far too often try to set up the battlefield with every possible tool at their disposition. And whichever side does not attain those things sort of drags their feet trying to find a way to counter the opponent's seemingly incomparable advantage. I'm not talking about anybody in particular or any situation, just how it feels. I'd really like to see a battle of two moving armies, nobody in a defensive position, both sides trying to reach the same objective. Using clever tactics along with heavy character development throughout it all. I'm just perturbed as to why it has been so difficult to set something up like that. I'm a bit weary of the suggestions made, even some of my own ideas that do not involve another writer as the opposition it that makes sense.

Well I laid out a plot, along with just what I think is needed to maintain a constant level of interest as well as balance within the roleplay. I'd like to bring the plot up to you sometime tomorrow if your willing to listen and honestly feel this is what the timeline needs. I imagine this all ending shorter then a regular timeline, being much more focused and refreshing change of pace for us. In my personal opinion, all we need is a good cast of characters for a recipe for success.

There are certain elements that have to do with that but its nowhere near identical at all. Your going to love some of these concepts. I'll catch up with you tonight then.

Alright sounds good.

However, I don't know how much time I'll get to spend in the RP. Final exams are coming up in about 4 weeks, and then I'll have a 12 hour a day 6 day a week job keeping me busy until August or September.

Might have to drop Valton if this thing turns out to be to good to miss.

Was also considering beside my Winterhold RP idea, something set in Windhelm and social conflict between the Dunmer and Nords living there. The suffocating but cold city streets are so appealing. I wish the cities in Skyrim were larger.
