Imperial City Arena - Entertainment or Genocide?

If only the Emperor wore that instead of that danged amulet, then none of this would've happened!

Good job, Captain Picard! Where's your dragon blood now?

By Mara! You're right. I think I recall hearing something about that during the tutorial:

Baurus: "Most people think of the Red Dragon Crown, but that’s just jewelry. However, if you can get a Gold Crown placed over your head, you'll be immortal. Why do you think I'm the only Blade to survive these assassins down here?"

:mohawk:

Is this true?? I don′t recall it, but then again I only heard it like four years ago

Meh, if they're not able to fight they shouldn't have signed up.

The one that always gets me is this: in a character's time in the Fighters' Guild, probably a minimum of about a week to do all of the quests, they annihilate all life in more than half a dozen caves and ruins. The Guild has forty to fifty members. The game can't have more than a couple hundred caves full of monsters, and if they are being wiped out at a rate of more than thirty caves a week, where do they all come from? But I guess the Arena thing is weirder.

He did wear it. He just took it off at the wrong moment. As did the other Blades.

On topic: Every combatant in the arena (except the Argonian prisoners) were there by their own choice just to earn some gold and fame (much like the Fighters Guild). So no, it's not really that cruel or unfair.
