ZOMG, they are silencing everyone... by letting us continue to post complaints on this subject in this thread.

I love my Imperial bonus that I will get, and that those who don't pay will not get.

Reread my post, look up how character customisation works in the game.

Anything in the game is content. You experience the game through your character yet it's not content? Are items not content either?

I actually look like an Imperial and love to play as them. I am pleased that I can now have the option. It may be a bit much in extra price but I don't control their marketing so I'll take what I can get.

MURICA!!

Seriously though, those that are truly offended by any kind of CE bonus need to do some research on past MMOs. Nothing new here, there really isn't. No matter what you consider content or think stuff is behind some kind of mystical paywall, things being exclusive to CEs is nothing new.

Well to be fair if they didnt claim that everything (content wise) was going to be covered by the sub, people wouldnt be so upset

Now you might argue playing an imperial isnt content... buuuut... its a grey area really.

This isnt a good move two months before release. Of course people is overreacting but players are always overreacting during the hype phase, and the DEVs should know.

I just wonder what bonuses would be acceptable to those that don't like the current bonuses. If I'm going to pay for a ce edition then I better get something that others won't get.

And how many people won't want or like those choices?

Everything IS covered by the sub. This is bonus items for buying the game Box.

Acess to a race and relative skill line can hardly be defined an "item".

You look human?

I'm glad Argonians are not CE exclusive, cause I look like one of them, so I always play as them.

Just joking. I bought the CE so I could play as an Argonian look-a-like even if they were an exclusive class. Am I not :turtle: for the :turtle: club?

this is my main concern. they said we would have access to all items ingame all content ingame due to us paying a sub and would not need to pay for any aditional conent.

Do you think some items will be very very very very very rare? Like a raidboss drop that has a less than .5% chance of even dropping for anyone in the group?

If I played the game for like 5 years, and never got that lucky roll to get that item, would that mean I had access or didn't have access to all items ingame, or all content?

You had access to but didn't acquire.

You had the exact same chance as others.

Edit: Hehe I even saw that one coming :)

Hlaren didn't write that they said I would have access to a chance, but rather access to all items.

Sure you wanna stick by that?

And it's the same with the bonuses in the ce. It's up to you if you choose to get those items or not. It is your choice.

I'm just getting at how silly it sounds, that people are arguing that they were lied to.

Obfuscation can be silencing, as you well know.

Hiding discontent among 100 pages of posts dissuades all but the most fervent user to get access to everyone's opinions.

It is my opinion that this behavior is disingenuous to potential customers who want to weigh both sides of the argument. When only threads praising and glorifying ESO 's backwards billing system are allowed to be seen - customers aren't getting all the facts.

I'm not even a conspiracy theorist and I can see this happening. It's as plain as day.

They aren't hiding it. You don't have to go 100 pages into this thread or the previous one to see discontent. It actually allows people to see all the feedback in one thread rather than fishing through 50+ threads for it. Multiple threads just convolute and confuse the issues on teh same subject and it makes the entire feedback fragmented and harder to follow. Being in one thread makes all that much easier, which is benefit for the customer. This thread and the previous thread were constantly at the top of the first page and never left the first page. The threads praising the scheme are also closed or fall off the first page very quickly, because quite frankly, people are more likley to complain than they are to praise on a message board.

Also the vast majority of customers and even potential customers will never ever even see this board.

A thought just occurred to me. The mass negative feedback in regards to the Imperial package may be a good thing. It may cause them to think twice before adding more pay gates. Word of mouth, reputation, feedback and reviews are EVERYTHING to the success of a new game in a flooded market. The entire gaming community world wide is currently debating this issue. And it isn't exactly positive. So maybe, just maybe, integrity is valued here and we won't see this again.
