There must have been many players who have planned around which edition to purchase (including whether to pre-order at all or or even whether to play Early Access) based on when the benefits are gained.

I was really hoping for an "Imperials for everyone!" with a new bonus in its place, but that was obviously way too hopefully.

Release date is April 4th.

Imperial Edition gives you Early Access for 5-days prior.

BEFORE: you got none of the bonuses like the Mount or Rings of Mara (regardless of Digital or Retail version).

AFTER: now you do, at least for the Digital version.

So for those of us who bought the retail IE we still don't know for sure if we have access to the bonuses for the 5 day early access? Lovely... I am getting more and more nervous due to their lack of a clear announcement regarding this.

The difference being that you would only get Imperials during early access (no horse, pet etc), now you'll get all of it.

Yes, it is better for those purchasing the (Digital) Imperial Edition NOW. But if you had already pre-ordered or decided not to pre-order at all, based on the previous information, you may have got the wrong edition for you (and maybe you don't know this new information yet either).

no big deal, the imperial crafting is what matters right away so you can sell that mech to foos and become a street king, you can run fast as yo horse so its not important until you have money to beef it out

Still like having a horse though, going to name it special and everything.

This really must be most of your first times. EVERY RETAIL BOX that you order, you will only get the pretty stuff when you input the key that comes in the BOX, it has always been this way.

If you ordered digital you wilk get the stuff early since the key is put right on the account. Why is this so hard to understand.

I think they already come with a given name ...at least that's how it was in the beta when I checked the stables on the owned horses tab. Don't know what to say about full version.

The IE Horse doesn't come with a name. Even if it did I would pay for it to be called Ferrari.

I wish they would let me upgrade my standard edition to imperial before April 4th.

I found Diamond to be a little too common for a horsename, so I am glad we're able to rename it
