Just to play devil's advocate, as mentioned above, the increased speed likely just means the increase in speed you get from any mount. And perhaps the Imperial will be playable for everyone after a certain time. Either way though, this does look like something right out of the Cryptic/PWE playbook.

The rings are nothing to get angry about, as you can buy them ingame as well.

The horse might be only a faster way of traveling compared to walking by foot.

I think Zenimax should just explain what exactly the boni are.

And ingame stuff with the CE was obvious. It allways has been that way.

Imperial is one of my favourite races, don't particularly want to play as one though now, I'd feel like I've cheated and paid to better myself, and everybody would be aware of that as soon as I rode in on my fast horse with the mudcrab just behind me.

I'd much rather a limited edition with a map and a figurine and such.

Well, I'm willing to bet (read:hope) the bit about choosing any alliance you want for any race could be a mistranslation or an error.

Otherwise, it defeates the purpose of the locked factions and does just turn this game into a crapfest.

The Imperial related news is disappointing and worrying. I may yet end up giving this game a total miss.

Pets, titles, maybe a mount or some snazzy looking, but ultimately underpowered weapon, yes. But completely unique content like this is a kick in the teeth after we were led to believe 'Imperials were not a playable race' and 'No content at extra cost'

I might follow Nacko's road of simply not bothering with the game, despite how much fun I have already had.

Having something this absurd and rediculous before the game is even released probably means that there's a whole lot more where that's coming from and it might be best for me to just not get more attached to the game and just let it go.

not an entire PLAYABLE race, that is something i would expect from the low-lifes at PWE/Cryptic, you know, the ones famous for nickel and diming their customers at every corner, the ones famous for caring nothing about the player-base. The one that is a HORRIBLE thing to be similar to

My freshly upgraded system will be playing another game. I don't NEED to play any game, and I don't make a habit of doing business with companies that prove themselves dishonest.

Like others have said, the company is going back on things they have promised before.

This does not at all bode well for future decisions made my ZOS, if they're actually insane enough to do something like this.

I'm not afraid to admit that I don't know a ton about ES lore. Is the Imperial a class or race? Not that it matters much. getting exclusive access to either a class or race by shelling out extra money is still pretty shady. I don't care about the mount and the other items. Those are typical with CE purchase.. But the Imperial crosses a line.

If this is a one off thing, I am ok with it, not happy, but ok.

If it turns out to be a gateway into more paygate crap, then it is not ok, and going completely against what they promised originally.

We'll see about that.
