Imperial Edition Confirmed

Post » Thu Jan 30, 2014 6:40 am

it is not JUST the fact they are adding a whole playable race to just people who pay more (which is already REALLY bad), but it is proving they have been dishonest, and dishonest about something that is REALLY important to a lot of people. what makes you think they will not have even MORE of this sort of stuff at release. what is now stopping them from getting WORSE.

Won't be the first I passed up because they couldn't keep their word, won't be the last probably either.

Well, like you, many people. It's normal. People don't like to pay companies not being honest. I will play the game and this is not going to change my view of the game at the beginning, but we'll see if these "small" things here and there end up being a whole big problem and the game starts to encourage people in the first months. That won't be good.

Again, they promised no pay2win, and that promise hasn't been broken yet. I don't see how they didn't keep their word.

Well, if you pay more for the special edition, you'll have better stats/bonuses from the beginning. Thats p2w more or less. A bit twisted way to get money by not saying is p2w.

Except games are not on the gamesas store, they are on the Zenimax store. gamesas store is for merchanising.

They ask for beta account login info that makes me suspicious.

There are no links from ZOS at all. Aren't you suspicious. Aslo the website isn't flashy enough. Could be wrong, but I'm holding judgement till an announcement.

again, no, they promised NO paygates whatsoever. You should NOT be forced to buy extra content like that (and is not a full expansion) in a game that costs $60 AND $15 every month. and they said EXACTLY That, and now they have broken that promise.

Yes, first the haters will love this, for me I wonder how much else end up behind a paywall. In short I will probably wait with the game until after Easter.

I'm to hooked myself however this will tip lots of unsure people into the not buy category.

Leaves the calculation: the Imperial edition is 20% more expensive, say half of the players buy it but 10% other drops the game. Result is that ZOS looses money on this brilliant idea.

Now if we include one year subscription the extra income from the imperial edition is less than 10% of the total sum. again say half buy it but 5% drop the game, again they loose.

I guess that depends on what "special buffs" come with the Imperial.

The Imperials are those who united all of the races of Tamriel to a single country.

The whole game's story is about acquiring the control of the capital city of the Imperials, the Imperial City.

it is not asking for beta stuff, anyone can make an account and you had to make one to even sign up for the beta. go to the ESO website, login, and go to the store.

I don't see anything special that awards €24.99 EUR extra. Why would anybody want to look like an Imperial fighting for the Aldmeri Dominion or the Ebonheart Pact?

And I don't want to RP marrying either.

Completely agree. There's no other way to see this. Well, you can be happy and sleep better maybe if you think the other way, but it is not the truth.

SPIELE ALS KAISERLICHER

Werde ein Kaiserlicher und schlie?e dich jeder beliebigen Allianz an. Erhalte einzigartige Boni, Handwerksstile, Ausrüstung und mehr.

....translated...be an imperial, join every alliance u like, get special boni, crafting styles equipment and more.

If these boni are same as racial skills...well thats harsh, but if they are like...u are altmer and imperial so u get altmer racial boni and like a imperial skill line....i don't know if this is by far game changing. Depends what it is?

But i agree what u ppl say that they are breaking their word and it is kind of a pay gate? But nothing which is gonna stop me to take this gate and leave it behind me (just my opinion, not saying u should do this too kk?)

Thank you. But that still doesn't answer if it is a class or race :)

Its a race.

No this is just not true.

You will have different stats/bonuses, by playing as a different race.

Not "better".

Guys, rein it in a little bit. I still haven't seen a thing on their website or any social media. I'm worried too, but let's just give them a chance. This could still be one almighty prank. I've never seen "account.elderscrollsonline.com" before. Call it a long shot, but I want to see some official word either way first.

account.elderscrollsonline.com is a subdomain of elderscrollsonline.com, which is used to handle all the accounts for ESO. Anyone who was invited to the beta had to access this part of the website to register an account and download the client.

And you can't create a subdomain if you're not the owner of the main domain.
