Imperial edition pre-order

Post » Sat Mar 08, 2014 9:27 pm

Ok, no lectures on waiting until the last minute to pre-order. I want to get the imperial edition that has the statue and the map (that's what I want the most) and the book but it's sold out (PC version) on every website I can think of. Anyone know of any sites where I can still pick one up... or a store that I can still drop a pre-order (not wanting to drive around all day Monday looking for one that will let me)... or if I can get a UK version and not have any issues here in the states. I doubt I'll ever be using the disk to actually install the game, it's just for the game code (and the code for the special in game goodies) and the physical goodies in the box. Plenty of PS4 versions out there for sale still... but yeah, I prefer PC over a consol any day of the week.

I can't believe you waited until last minute! :nono:

I believe GAME has them last I checked, which was about a week ago.

If they're legitimately sold out (they said they were limited), then you will never find a fair price for them. Simple as that.

best bet is to wait, but waiting is a double edged sword, everything with time increases in value, BUT it depends whether the game will be considered a good major MMO or not, if its not, its price will inevitably drop. But not by much, since ES lore is amazing and the single player series have a serious fan base, it will go down if ESO fails, but not by much.

So basically you COULD potentially wait a bit since know they are most likely overpriced due to high demand yet no supply.

Also by waiting you MAY get a chance of ZOS releasing MORE of them, they locked a whole virtual good behind a pay wall, trust me they will do another "limited" edition of these should they see the money in it, but it's never a guarantee.

You won't win either way you choose, if you must desperately have those bonuses.

Yeah, I knew not to look at eBay... but I had to look anyway when you said it. That's nuts but about right. I've looked, there is some here http://www.techgeekshop.com/product/?id=1244523 but it makes no mention of the early access. I shot them an e-mail asking about that but who knows if/when they'll get back to me. I've never shopped with them or heard of them before so don't know how trusting they are. I've thought about a UK version, but would there be any issues with the codes and being here in the US? Both GAME and Gamestop UK have copies of the imperial edition with the goodies.

On the main TESO website, a new main page update says:

"Imperial Edition selling fast! Don't miss out. Get Early Access and reserve your digital copy before it is to late."

Do they plan on limiting the amount of digital copies as well?

(Personally, not worried, I pre-ordered the first day possible. I'm just interested in knowing is all).

Sent an e-mail to customer support asking if I'd have issues with the codes if I ordered a UK copy, got a standard reply that didn't address that question. On the bright side, they must have looked and noticed I didn't have a beta code and hooked me up with one.

Plenty of the Imperial Editions with the physical goodies for PS4 HAHA! Just none for PC. Was going to by it from that techgeeks.com site I found, only to get linked to amazon.com. My only options now are e-bay or gamestop UK... oi!

The UK version is so expensive in relation to the EU and US versions that there are still copies left at 'Game'.

Game seems to be your last choice if you want the physical stuff. I too have preordered on Game, which sets me back $160USD. I'm paying some $25USD extra because it's not available here in Australia. I'm hoping it'll be here just before the early access expires, otherwise I'll have to wait for the Imperial code that comes shipped with the box.

Game.co.uk could work. Or switch to GameStop UK.

So I won't get problems with a UK version being the US then? I figure I shouldn't because a code is a code, but you never know.

You will have to pay some import tax, and whoever is delivering it to you will very probably charge an excessive brokerage fee for paying the tax on your behalf at point of entry to the US. At least this was my experience when importing to the UK from the US with UPS in the past (I still hate that company passionately).

they should email you the code before hand so all you do is patch the beta up to full and then get early access
