i actually like the idea of having one race not available to all.
makes us have occosional encounters with Imperials, and not all the time. perhaps make some diversity to the game.
and one race has nothing to do with P2W. (pay to win).

Ehm, I'm a subjective individual and I don't have access to the objective truth.
My "subjective" opinion is that if I have access to a "unique item" as you say - and you don't - that gives me an advantage over you, however slight that may be.
If you don't agree, that's quite alright.
That's different, again people are comparing this one race that wasn't included to begin with to all of a sudden it's the bestest race ever and they are going to have all the bestest powers in the game. Which simply isn't the case. They are going to be just like every other race. Different racials. Big Deal. They won't instantly be leveled to 50, they won't get all their skill points for free, they won't get a special god mode or anything of the sort.
They get a horse and a pair of rings that will give a minor xp boost while they are grouped, big deal.
Well ok then if you aren't talking about a race being an in-game advantage for people who buy it you talk like that is what you think the case to be. As long as we are clear on that its just a skin on a character model and there are no powers it's just racials which are passive so powers isn't really a good term and they are more likely meaningless than not. It seemed that was exactly what you were upset about.
Races don't have unique armors that other races can't wear, the only unique armor we know of is the emporers set. They don't even really have unique "powers" just racials (which were just explained) but all the worth while skills are weapon, armor and class based. So the only difference in the end while your in game, is before you went in game (no the character creator isn't in-game yet) you picked Imperial instead of Nord and since there is no faction lock you could play pretty much the exact same way with either. You can consider that content if you choose to but I am fairly sure in the dev statement they were talking about zones, quest lines like the story and guilds, PvP, professions and so on. Just saying, that is more likely the case but if some end game dungeon is released in a month post launch for 10 bucks to enter I will say you were right but for now as far as I can tell with the way I read it they are sticking to what they say AND trying to please people by opening factions, they just aren't doing it in the best way they could have.
welcome to an ESO forum, it only gets deeper from here on in
where you have the clash of single-player TES gamers colliding with MMO gamers. I suspect the majority of bellyaching is from teh SP crowd but don't quote me
This guy is just trolling us, hes been doing the same thing for over an hour, heck he stated there wouldnt probaly be no difference with the imp racials then others (would be along the same lines but nothing op about them) and he still throws this stuff out there. I would just leave this post if i were you, iam not going to reply back to anymor of his comments, i have explained it to him time after time and so have others and he just keeps commenting the same thing even after he invalidates what he is saying.
You don't seem to read what I'm writing, which is kinda strange.
No, it's not just a skin - it's a race with unique powers. You may think they're meaningless - but I don't. I doubt you'll consider them meaningless when you get an advantage from them, but that's on you. Most people will want their powers and won't want to throw them away.
Racial powers aren't powers? I'm sorry - how does that make any sense? Powers aren't powers? I don't understand what you're saying.
You're "fairly" sure the developers were talking about zones and quest lines? Oh, ok - you're psychic and you know that races aren't part of the content to the developers? Yeah, ok.
Sorry, you're not being rational here.
Since you can play any race in any alliance I really do not get why all cry so much.
Why imperial is so important to some? Just another face type you can choose from.
I bought CE, but I really do not get excited a lot about it. In every MMO game they add something to CE so say people who do not care too much for every cent can just have something from start.
The only real thing that CE gives more is the horse - for me as casual player it is benefit, so I do not need to play hardly to collect gold to buy one in game.
The rest:
- ability to create imperial looking style - so it is only how armor will look like, nothing to do with stats
- ability to convert to imperial style - same as above, probably sooner or later they will find some ways to convert look of weapon / armor to other
- ring of Mara - I will probably just throw it away as it will make game unbalanced and cause gaining level too fast
- mud crap - I will also probably get rid of it after short while if it just hangs around and does noting useful
Ya i am thinking the same thing, a guy i have been going round and round with would not admit any kind of mmo history to me, was just curious if he had experience with the genre if not i was going to explain something to him and he wouldnt answer me back but he was still right anyway lol.
Yeah, you've made no sense over and over again, and you've done your best to use insults - both obvious and subtle.
Good work
anyone can do the same thing the ring allows in game, there is no unbalance about it, you can "marry up to 4 people i think and everytime you group with them u get a bonus to xp of couse ANYTIME you group you get a bonus to xp so... lol With the CE u just get an item that you can give to another person to take up a slot in their inv is all lol.

PS.
I'm casual, but I do exactly all quests one by one (I try do do all possible quests in games), so ring of Mara does not help me, but sure there will be people who want to be level 50 in first few days.
It's just ->A<- race like any other. In fact, the only cool thing abut it is the crafting style. (and that imperials are kind of not bound to a specific race)
I agree with you brother, astics are one of my hang ups and i was looking to play in the HE are but i really couldn't bring myself to like the look of the races they offered or the style of armor. So now i am as happy as a kitten with a bowl of warm milk. I can choose the race that is most aesthetically pleasing to me and i get to play it where i want to
I'd expect this crap from NWN since they have to earn their money from somewhere; but this is a priced + sub game , no way they have a legitimate reason to do this ( other than greed ofc ). How would all the wow subscribers feel if the new add-on had all this content, but only the CE had the ( let say ) Ogre race ..... how big would the [censored]storm be ?
Anyone supportting this is just blind to where this will lead to in the near future ; i'm not saying don't play the game, just be careful what you wish for.
