Imperial Horse (Imperial edition.)

Post » Thu Feb 27, 2014 3:49 pm

1. Any in-game advantage with a horse concerning PvP in cyrodiil? (For example can you escape/retreat in combat on a horse?)

2. Race Imperial: What kind of racial bonuses does an imperial get in ESO?

3. I don't trust articles writing about Imperials saying they won't get any in-game advantages -

since it's based on elder scrolls lore. And the race itself is probably unique with Imperial powers in-game,

which might benefit in PvP events and in cyrodiil. Anyone tested the imperial race; pros & cons?

4. Friendly fire in Cyrodiil? (It's that in BF4 & CoD on hardcoe modes, Star Citizen in 2015.)

- Shadowbane PvP expert since 2002 beta.

1.) It's just a normal horse, it felt slow when I used it imo.

2.) http://esohead.com/calculator/skills#zzaz5ozM7pcgcmM6cgcmm6zgcoS6cgkvQ

3.) Nobody outside of the PTS has used Imps afaik

4.) nope.

The only real advantage I see to the base horse is that Cyrodiil is freaking massive and a 15% increase in speed will drop a 1/2 hour run down to 25 1/2 minutes :)

No real reason than to spend ingame gold and buy horses with that low speed increase, Unless they have large storage on them

Horse has a separate stamina pool to sprint with.

I believe that horses can be cared for/fed to increase speed, carrying capacity and stamina.

2. As I figured, those PvE clowns who're writing these articles are clueless concerning PvP in Cyrodiil.

Imperials gains passive abilities unique to their race tough & conditioning.

*Tough I Increase max health by 4%.

*Tough II Increase max health by 8%

*Tough III Increase max health by 12%

*Conditioning I Increase max stamina by 4%.

*Conditioning II Increase max stamina by 7%

*Conditioning III Increase max stamina by 10%

* In consider the total Health/Stamina advantage at lv. 50, and it's an unique passive racial bonus, lol.

In addition Red Diamond: Melee attacks have 10% chance to restore 2 health.

- That was after 10 minute in-game research based on possible Imperial PvP bonuses ty. to Hadrexion and skill calculator.

A good advice, get the Imperial edition if you have plans to PvP a lot in Cyrodiil, because those bonuses are probably set in stone before launch.

The calculators aren't giving accurate values for things that scale with level.

2 HP leech at 50 is pathetic and not something you want to pick a race for. This is likely a bad value because the calculators can't get the right figures. Flame talent, for example, keeps showing 4 spell power to fire spells regardless of what the sliders are set at.

Yeah, it'll be unbeatable in PvP! Except by the Khajiit racial for increased crit! Or the Orc racials! Or the Argonians! Or the Breton! All the unique racials!

Honestly, people.

Ok fair enough - I've not beta tested yet and you can't get above lv. 17 in this beta weekend.

If we had actually total health numbers at Max level we would see how much these passive unique racial bonuses will aid you.

I assume Imperials are strong Nightblades and Dragonknights, perhaps even Templars, but not

that great caster, Sorceror.

It's a normal horse so:

1. It's cheaper, that's all. Getting on and off it takes a while, and is not instance.

2. Placeholder racials (imo) They are like 12% stamina, a chance on hit to restore a small amount of health, etc. http://esohead.com/races/10-imperial

3. It's more an mmo and less ES: balance is a concern and there are probably no advantages

4. No

Can the people seriously wake up at the leaching effect? It will scale up it won't be 2 hp forever, stop arguing like with that freaking racial to distract people from the 12% bonus to hp and stamina.

I don't really care about their bonuses, but hell I won't shut up when people say they're bad or even below average, they're clearly BETTER, simple as that, I don't mind, but they are better, dont hide between that racial about leech HP, EVEN if it doesn't scale, you have freaking 12% extra hp and stamina in one race only. But I seriously doubt that it won't scale, it most likely will.

They're NOT pay 2 win, but they are better than some other races.

EDIT: also about the horse, its speed also heavily depends on what you feed it, but its an extra storage if nothing else, in pvp the distance between keeps is quite large so having a horse is a must if you want to mobilize quickly.

Also for pvp feeding your horse for speed is a no brainer, more speed, faster movement, that goes to all horses, imperial edition guys just get theirs for free lol.

The leech svcks, like plain and simple. It restores 2 health..when you have like 1,000, and is unlocked at imperial rank skill 25..

It has nothing on the siphon tree from nightblades.

we will see just how useful a horse will actually be when the game releases. Is there a fast travel? If so there is not point to mounts in the game. Fast travel like how WoW has it setup works great. Implement a immersive way to get around. In ESO case. A carriage system or horse rentals or something. None of this point and click poof magic menu and you're there like in Skyrim Vanilla. If this is the case in ESO that is one less attractive incentive to buy this CE. Everything seemed to be someone close in eso.

To add to my previous post, with 3 skill points ( the maximum allowed into it) into Red Diamond (the leech), it's 6hp back.

I just don't believe that it doesn't scale, like the armor bonus racials (forgot the race), it has to scale....

But again they can as well just remove it, having 12% extra hp & stamina on the same race.... nothing to cry about there, only joy to be had.

I saw that Orc is a strong warrior too.

They get Browny III, which increase 6% in both stamina and health.

Robust III health regeneration while in combat at 15% maxed out - I've no idea how good this regeneration ability is at the moment.

Well, yeah. Though if it doesn't scale it's pretty useless. I mean, you'd regenerate 60 hp in 100 hits (theoretically with the 10% chance) and with a thousand health this is like .006%

imo it's the weakest racial.

I have a feeling that because the Imperials have a better pool of racials that it won't scale

It isn't a leech it is a triggered self heal. if it was a leech it would also cause damage as well as healing the player.

Also 2hp... whoop de doo that will make a difference to the 10000 hp minimum health pool that most MMO players get at end game.

The Tough racial perk on the other hand... 12% extra health is pretty decent.

until people actually get time to play the game, it's all just speculation and nothing more. There are races that have better racials than imperials for specific roles... people should just wait till this weekend and do the research.
