I think a lot of the "roles" from Oblivion have been reversed this time around.

The new line of emperors seem pretty ruthless, what with the ban on the worship of Talos and the systematic extermination of the Blades.

Not to mention the whole Alduin/Akatosh connection.

Though that hardly means anything to the type of character I usually play, I tend to opperate outside the law of the land, not big on legal restrictions.

Kinda hoping we'll be able to play both sides against eachother for personal gain, that would be ideal for me, I think.

I did read that where factions (DB, Thieves Guild and so on) are concerned, we can indeed get them to fight each other...not sure about the "main" organisations though!

My character is a Breton runaway (currently unamed) whose father led the militia of Evermore. He hates all that is empire and all that is government. Hence, go rebels!

The rebels could turn out to be a bunch of misguided fools who have been lured, by nationalism and the romantic ideal of freedom, into fighting for nothing more than a noble's selfish desire for more power.

The empire has turned its back on Talos... The Stormcloaks are just doing what needs to be done, which will hopefully involve Imperial genocide :flamethrower:

I'll have to see how the story is going once I get in there but my tendency is always that the people should pull together or they'll be at each other's throats. Trade with each other, sharing in each other's culture with a variety of art and music, sharing resources and defending against any outside invaders. This will mean keeping the Empire together and keeping it strong unless some as yet unknown evil makes this a wrong choice for my character.

Most of you know that there will be a civil war in Skyrim so if you are forced to pick sides what side will you pick, i will personally pick the imperial legion cuz i think they are the good guys, protecting cities,keeping order,better looking armor and i know i will run to an imperial post once a dragon chases me, so those are my reasons.

show a little back bone will you? just because they are stronger have fortress protect cities,keep order and have better looking armor ...ok i'm in.
