I haven't really looked into the civil war aspect of skyrim that much. So will it be similar to ceasars legion and the ncr in new vegas? You can do some initial missions for each, but eventually you must pick a side, and defeat the other.

Well my RP character's name does mean Rebelion in hebrew and she is based on someone who did rebel against the system so I'm going to go stormcloaks on this. Also, the name is cooler.^_^

Does this mean there are multiple political factions? such as in FNV? I remember Pete saying there are four joinable FACTIONS when we already know for a fact that we can join 1.companions 2.college of winterhold 3. thieves 4. DB 5. imperial legion 6. storm cloaks 7. bard's college.

This may mean that there is a difference between Guilds and Factions! Meaning that there are two more we havent heard about! :celebration:

If this is true than I hypothesize that the factions are: Pro Empire: Legion (new emperor) Blades? (old order) and Pro Skyrim: Storm cloaks (freedom fighters?) Jarl Confederacy: (actually stand a chance against Imperial Legion) Even cooler is that the Blades are for the MQ concerning Alduin and there are THREE pro-skyrim factions! :shocking: (trailer did say sons of skyrim shed their OWN blood, not Imperial...)

Or... Pete just meant the companions, college of winterhold, thieves, and DB are the four "main" factions. <_<

On topic: I need to know more about the two before I decide but from what I know so far I hate both. :shrug:

The first part of this is all I have to say. I hope it is deeper than "good" vs. "evil". I hope it is more like "republican" vs. "democrat". That way some people who are obviously one sided and there will also be some independents who look at both sides. Basically I hope it is more-or-less, we are both trying to keep peace, just in different ways.

* Note: By different I don't mean what Caesar's Legion had in mind. I mean something more political, not inhumane.

It depends but most likely the Stormcloak, since my character isn't above thievery. Also, isn't the Empire supposed to be defunct? I thought the civil war in Skyrim was between Nord and Nord... :confused:

I can't recall which interview but I remember Todd Howard saying that there are four MAIN factions and then a bunch of other little factions that aren't as focused or significant. What that means is that, most likely, the "smaller factions" like the Imperial Legion and the Stormcloaks have less quests than the College of Winterhold, Thieves Guild, Companions, and the Dark Brotherhood. :shrug:

I was all for the empire, I was blind... when word reached me that they've betrayed Talos they earned my vengeance! There are no second chances for an offense like that, and there will be no shelter for the agents of the empire against the coming storm! :gun:
