Imperial or Nord!

Made this topic months and months ago. Now that we have some more information (and perhaps time to study old information) let's have the arguement of which human makes the most sense as a Dragonborn.

The character I want to play would be following in Tiber Septim's foot-steps, wanting to rebuild the empire after its (presumed) crumbling, though we know from the Imperial Legion faction that it's not yet fallen. He would be a knight, barbarian, or crusader: some melee-centric character with skills in word-play and some small amount of spell-work. He will be generally pragmatic rather than evil or good (though will likely fall on the good side of the morality spectrum, in the end). I may also start him on the path of the Thieves' Guild, depending on its motives, simply to give him a sort of 'redemption' when he realizes his true calling. But I'm iffy on that last point.

As a man that wants to rebuild the empire and is fighting the dragons for some higher, nobler purpose, what makes sense: Imperial or Nord?

As a Nord, he might be more inclined to join the Storm Cloaks or keep the rebellion thriving in Skyrim, and I've always played an Imperial in Elder Scrolls games, so points against Nords.

However, Nords are more melee centric, and the game is -set- in Skyrim. Furthermore, Talos/Tiber Septim/Dragonborn was actually Atmoran (Nord), even if he founded the Empire of the Third Era, so, points against Imperials.

What do y'all think?

Nord makes more sense. The whole tradition is Nordic anyways, and Tiber Septim/Talos/Ysmir was a Nord.
