Imperials actually in the game for months

Post » Sat Feb 01, 2014 5:47 am

Cant seem to paste the video but in the video "an overview of he elder scrolls online by tamriel foundry, at 9:28-29 they pan over some races in their armours, and they show the very distinct imperial armour, the same armour shown in the imperial edition.

Thoughts?

In my opinion, its very bad, many people hated this decision of having them in as it was a last minute decision by the "suits" and that's how ZOS are starting to become what they said they wont be. Now I'm pretty sure the footage tamriel foundry got this from was from before ZOS said no pay gates and all that BS so at the time they down right lied and they new it which is a far darker and more beguiling vision of ZOS than we have now.

I'm very disappointed, they knew from the start that they'd have pay gates and all that comes with them, so shame on you ZOS, shame on you. Your greedy nature has been here all along and you purposely tried to hide it till the last minute when pre-orders were all in.

We always knew they were in, we just didn't know they would be playable.

If you didnt realize that youre pretty naive. They dont just create races over night, even if that race doesnt have their own specific starting area. They still have to create racials and maybe some race specific dialogues and who knows what else.

I'm not sure how that video shows you that they are playable. Also, armor styles can be worn by any race.

I am not understanding what you're saying. Imperials have always been in the game, there has always been Imperial armor for those NPCs and for the players to wear.

The pan-cam was of players, you can do a similar thing with skyrim, set it too 3rd person and such, and they show off the races and their armour, of the playable race, IMO its obviously a player as the imperials aren't in any other faction areas. And I don't know if there are npcs in Cyrodil.

Yes it may be na?ve too think they were made overnight, but 1, I don't, 2, the important thing is that they lied about paygates

"The pan-cam was of players" - you don't know that. It was more than likely of developers who can probably "play" as any model or monster in the game if they want. That has no bearing on what the end-user will be able to do.

Anyway, this is really reckless speculation at best and a worthless thread.

OP, the fact that particular armor was in the game since the "Introduction to ESO" video, does in no way mean they wanted to make imperials playable back then. Just saying.

No need to be so defensive of ZOS, why would they show off several players characters in racial armour and then a random NPC in racial armour. It's nonsensical. Logically this is a player.

Because maybe Imperials were a race all along. Just not playable. Every race has a racial style armor to craft. Doesn't mean it has to be a playable race. Again, you have 0 evidence to say this was a planned move all along. I'm not defending, just being logical here.

My comment on defending ZOS was to the guy who said "worthless thread"

Admittedly I have little proof, but you can easily assume and speculate this, as I've said they wouldn't show off players in racial armour and then npc in racial armour, and ive said no imperial npcs would be in faction territory

You're going by the armor, which we've known since the first released video can be worn by players irrespective of their race.

At best you could say "Imperial armor has actually been in the game for months" which we already knew.

Hence, worthless thread.

And your again ignoring my comment, why show playable races in their armour and an uplayable race in their armour, even when their isn't any imperial NPCs.

In armour? don't see how they're could be, a military imperial in a faction region, wouldn't happen.

Dude it has been known since the beginning of this game that there are still Imperials living in Cyrodiil. Tell me why they cannot be wearing their racial armor style?

Because it could be another race wearing the Imperial racial armor! Keep guessing and assuming all you want, but I don't see any truth in it.

Nevermind OP. You clearly don't want to or simply cannot understand my posts. I'm gonna stop trying. Nothing wrong with this thread or w/e, but you speculations mean nothing for reasons mentioned earlier.
