Imperials, are you impressed?

Red Diamond is 10% chance to regain 6% hp per swing. So if your using 2500 hp as an example your closer to 150hp per swing.

I was looking forward to playing one until I found out they have the WORST bonus ever. Who in FSMs name decided that an experience bonus is as good as a stat bonus. That is just mind numbingly idiotic. I would much rather have a boost to another stat or skill than a stupid experience bonus. At some point you reach max level and it becomes moot while a bonus that adds damage to a certian weapon type like other races have would always be useful even at max level.

k9mouse thinks that Khajiit NPCs should talk in 3rd all the time. :D Also, a Khajiit player should have 3rd person options in replies to the NPCs. This one played a Khajiit =^.^=

Can we sticky this thread for every time someone complains that the IE is a "pay to win" scenario?

All races have an experience bonus racial to a weapon. It is not unique to the Imperial race.

Every race starts with a experience bonus to a weapon or armor skill line. Imperials aren't different from the other races in that respect.

Absolutely loved the Imperials! Here's a couple of screenshots of my Imperial;

Don't be jealous of her lute playing prowess.

She's a beauty. The looks of the Imperials can be nice, the thing that killed it for me is they are short but that's just cosmetic preference.

Personally, I like that they're somewhat short. But then too, I usually scale the height down to the lowest setting anyway. I've always been partial to tiny little buttkicker toons.

I saw a post on a forums say that the taller the character the better dmg it does. Now they didn't have any proof etc. so you gotta take that with a grain of salt.

lol, it's not true.

None of the character customization affects the character in any other way than its looks.

Whoever posted that is an utter moron. That's like posting that the fatter a person's gut is the faster their magicka regeneration is going to be. Ignoring the fact that neither premise makes any sense whatsoever, what game developer in their right mind would institute such a ridiculous and broken mechanic? None, and certainly not one with the history and reputation of Zenimax.

The only thing i was surprised about was that you will have the ability to morph armor on all your characters not just your imperial.. That seemed kind of strange to me, i expected it to be only for the imperial but man i love it. I dont have to worry about finding that racial motif for imperial gear for myself on alts, i can just morph it.

It has happened in a lot of other mmo's where size in relation to a race affects the hitbox size, so smaller the race the smaller the hitbox is and therefore harder to hit :)

the Imp is just another race. They play OK. They look OK but they are no more special than any other race in TESO

I was under the impression it was overall experience gained from quests and not to a specific type of gear like the other races. The last thing I want is to level up faster because I want to enjoy my time and not end up being over levelled for an area. If you look at the other races they have bonuses to a specific stat and also specific combat bonuses. Bretons have magicka bonuses as well as light armor goes up faster. I would rather that Imperials get a bonus to sword and board and the stamina instead of stamina and increase XP gain. If it is in fact a specific weapon type then I am fine with it.

I stand corrected I was wrong. I found some stats and they actually look pretty good although I wonder if that Red Diamond one scales and will become OP at high levels.

  • Shield Affinity (1 rank) - Increases experience gain with the One-Handed and Shield skill line by 15%.
  • Tough (3 ranks) - Increases maximum Health by (4/8/12)%.
  • Conditioning (3 ranks) - Increases maximum Stamina by (4/7/10)%.
  • Red Diamond (3 ranks) – Melee attacks have a (2/4/6)% chance to restore 6 Health.

what? They get just as many bonuses as the other races. Every race get a increase xp gain with a weapon or armor(Imperials get faster gains with sowrd and board). Then the others are bonuses to certain things. Stamina and health increase is a combat bonus. The the health gain on hit is also a combat bonus.

Imperial Nightblade will be very interesting according to my las beta experience.

I was a little disappointed when I first saw Imperial racials on a website and delayed my thought about playing an Imperial on DFC side but the last beta changed my mind. I actually think Tough and Conditioning are very good racials for a Nightblade.

I actually thing that Tough and Conditioning are great for pretty much any class. Straight health and stamina buff means you con forgo some points in those to put them in magicka.
