Ive had the game since release, got the collectors guide, explored for hours, etc
Ive herd on here, talk of 'implants' and on other sites, but never ingame have i herd the phrase used..

What are they and how do i get them ?

They are sold by a Follower's of the Apocalypse doctor at the Vegas Medical Center (or whatever it's called, just east of the Crimson Caravan place).

They SPECIAL implants cost 4000 caps each, the armor one costs 8000 and the hp regen one costs 12000. You can get 1 implant per point of Endurance you have. From my experience the endurance implant doesn't affect the total, just what your starting endurance is.

5 endurance = 5 implants

I randomly found out about them doing a side quest. Implants increase you SPECIAL skill (not sure by how much guessing by 1?) you get the at the New Vegas Medical Clinic.

They each add one(1) point to the related SPECIAL attribute, though Adding one to Endurance won't let you get another one. It is based on your base stat. There is also one that will raise your DT by 4, and another one that lets you regenerate HP over time, I think it is 1 point for every 10 seconds, which to me is useless when there's so many open beds, doctors, stimpacks and food all over the place.

Can't i buy them all ?
Ive got enough caps, but you make it sound as if you can only buy certain ones, or if you buy one, you cannot purchase another ?

It is based on your Endurance score. You can have as many implants as you have base points in Endurance. So, if you have 9 Endurance, then yes, you can buy them all. I usually go for 7 Endurance, and buy all the SPECIAL implants except for Endurance, and the one to increase Damage threshold.

So its based on something i did at the very start, not even knowing about implants..

You will only be able to buy 2 of them, as it is based on the Endurance stat when you rolled the character. Wearing clothes, or using meds or food or anything like that won't help with getting more Implants.

What are the best implants to have then ?

They are all good there is no best depends on your character build if it melee type or unarmed I would say endurance, strength or agilty is but like I said there is no best one as all are useful in some way.

I got all healed up by her first, checked again and i have 8(+)
It would let me have 6, before i needed more Endurance..
So, which 6 would be best/recommend ?

What I saying is non are best they all good but I guess Perception, Agility, Luck, End, Hp regen, Armor or strength. Do you mean you has 8 endurance? before the end implant that would mean you could get 8 of them. It works like this if your BASE endurance the endrance you made your character have at begining was for example 5 you could only get 5 of them the endurance implant would make it 6 but you can still only get 5 of them.
