Import Profile and Saves to New Install

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 2:40 am

I've had to resort to installing Windows 7 x64 Pro completely new on a formatted hard drive. I've just installed Crysis 2 on this new installation and would like to know just what files/folders I need to copy over from the original install so that I can pick up where I've left off.

Thanks!

BTW, I DID do a search but it seems that search on this forum is very, very limited.

If my memory serves, W 7, Vista, and XP use different folders for storing user data. Perhaps, it's under C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\Saved Games\Crysis2\ or (...\My Games\Crysis2?) if you're on Vista and not W7 like the OP?
If I'm wrong, try a basic windows search for the "Crysis2" folder.
best of luck

also, if you have your username displayed as a link or a menu on your Start Menu, you might be able to access the Saved Games from there. Oddly enough, 'Crysis2' and 'mpdemo' are the only folders there for me.
(Right click start menu, properties, Start Menu Tab, Customize, scroll down to about half way until you find the Personal folder options, and click either Display as a link or as Display as a menu)
However, this is based on Windows 7. My apologies if this is different for other versions of Windows.
