My impressions after two weeks playing...

Well, it's now two weeks since release so I thought that I'd give my general impression of the game so far.

I don't think there's actually much in the way of spoilers in this but I posted it here just to be sure.

Firstly I wasn't too sure about the character creation system and starting out.

I just feel that coming from being shown as a happily married couple with a child somewhat limits role playing certain characters, I think it's quite difficult to be evil.

I also found it strange that this guy (in my current case) who's been in suspended animation for over two hundred years apparently knows all the recipes for making use of the local flora and fauna, and can operate, maintain and modify weapons and armour (including power armour) that he can't possibly have seen before.

I think that New Vegas' start up with the tuition was a more immersive.

I'm not sure how someone who was completely new to Fallout would get on (if there is such a person!)

But I am enjoying it and I think that it's quite tough, there are lots of powerful enemies about and even at level 14 I'm finding some of them very challenging.

I've been getting myself killed a lot more that I did in New Vegas.

So I've done 195 hours according to Steam so far and there's still and awful lot to see and do. I've barely touched the main quest yet, I've been exploring and building up a settlement.

Caps seem to be harder to come by, I'm still having to be very careful with that I spend them on, but, all in all, I'm having a great time!
