When I first saw this screenshot I was like ok great another new screenshot and didnt think much of it. The main reason why I was very casual with my reaction at first is because of the armor she is wearing is the same armor that is in almost every other picture.

I know why Bethesda keeps using the same armor, because they want to keep everything else under wraps.

So eventually my youtube subscriptions started to add the same picture and I just looked at the video to see if they had anything else new. The more times I looked at it, I was like wow she actually looks scary, and that outfit really does her no justice. Then I started to think. I was like she actually looks like she could be a vampire that has a transformed face. Now when I say this I'm not saying she literally is a vampire and vampires maybe confirmed. What I mean is if you watched the old buffy the vampire slayer show or lost boys and almost all of the older vampire movies you would know that the vampire had regular faces and a transformed "demon" face.

So I think her face looks like it would actually fit that look.

Again I dont know if she is indeed a vampire! And not saying she is, but I was just talking about the look in general.

I could imagine her or any similar looking dunmer that has a sinister outfit to be pretty damn scary in a dark foggy cave. Especially with those eyes.

You guys tell me if you had similar thoughts or any comments on what you read and saw.

no offence, but i felt like the dunmer female was the most hideous screenshot yet... srsly tho.. that chick fell out of the ugly tree and hit every single branch on the way down

Bah. She is NOT pretty At ALL! She looks like a male Neanderthal. The Bosmer male manages to be slightly alien from human while still being symmetrical and elegant. He is prettier than the damn Dunmer female, and he's a boy! That just isn't right a bit. And no, the answer isn't to ugly him down. Its to pretty her up!

It makes sense that they wouldn't be a very beautiful race seeing as they are the way they are because of a curse.

That's the second or third time someone has accused an average Dunmer as being a vampire.

Look at the Dunmer in Morrowind. They look pretty much exactly like that. They have sunken cheeks and dark red eyes and they look rugged. They're not vampires. I HIGHLY doubt anyone is going to find a vampire, get infected, sleep for three days, and have a screenshot taken after all within the 60 minutes they had to play the demo.

Again, that's just how Dunmer look.

Also, the vampires of Skyrim are far crazier than any vampires we've seen in the past games, so there's not even any guarantee we'll have the tradition style vampires in this one.

yeah, her hair looks so greasy. Between the random scars and the neanderthal brow- she just looks like gutter-trash all hopped up on Skooma.

Wait....

Cursed elves (already not human-looking), that have a brutal, and dark culture, and having many warriors in their race, one of which you play, aren't pretty.

Color my surprised.

Edit: I did read OP, just wanted to comment on people saying the Dunmer is ugly.

She's not a vampire because she's from one of the playthroughs. I don't believe any of them said they became a vampire.

She does basically look almost exactly like a Joss Whedon vampire. Buffy would attack her on sight.

Whether that's good or bad is personal taste, but I will find it a little strange if the dumner are the only elven race with vampire brows. It would be like one of the human races suddenly having Klingon foreheads.

It would make it seem as though dumner are not really elves at all, but some other unrelated species with a different biological origin.

..Add some onion and.. oh.. almost walked right into that one..

At least the men and women look like the same species, unlike a lot of fantasy where the man is all ugly and scary while the woman is dainty and attractive.

Also, they look a lot like the dunmer from Morrowind, so I already like them much more.

Since the photo was taken from a demo play-through, I don't think the Dunmer is a vampire. If she was, I'm sure we would have heard about it at least a dozen times by now. I, for one, LOVE the new look! They're supposed to be cursed by a god and I think they truly look the part this time around. As far as I'm concerned, Bethesda has gotten everything right so far.. just waiting on the last few stragglers.

Lokks like my Dunmer will require some heavy work at the creation...

This is just one example of Dunmer female, not all Dunmer females will look like this. It's silly to get worked up over it, but some of you just love to moan.

The dog is awesome, BTW.
