Improved Telekinesis Confirmed

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 3:34 pm

It's been confirmed that Telekinesis is back in, and has two main uses:

-To pick up random stuff, like in oblivion, to aid stealing or just laziness :P

-To throw at enemies, its implied this will actually do damage now.

Sounds awesome! I can't wait to throw a knife or sizable rock with it, haha.

That means that if you attack rindir his useless telekinesis staff might actually be useful!

Source?

It's mentioned http://stickskills.com/news/1516/new-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-details-listed/, I think.

If it's true, then I'm glad, telekinesis in Oblivion really seemed rather useless to me, more like a gimmick spell than a really practical one. Honestly, Morrowind's telekinesis, while boring, seemed more useful, since it could interact with things like doors and containers and other activators rather than only items you can pick up like in Oblivion.

And what is their source? ;)

I mean the only compiled information from other sources. I know that telekineses was mentioned as a spell in the british OXM. But I don't know any source that confirmed that you are able to throw items at enemies for some kind of effect.

Telekinesis! <3
That's all I have to say and that I'm glad that they will improve it and give it an in-battle usage of it.

To use Telekinesis in battle would open up possibly the largest use of a spell in game. Obviosuly the larger the item the more damage it would do but, imagine, you could grab a piece of garlic to hurl at an approaching Vampire.

So I have to look around find an item then hurl it at the enemy. Or, or I can just say Fas Ro Dah and send my enemies flying. Hmm... the chooses.

I'd really like an improved telekinesis spell, one thats useful beyond picking locks, activating switches, and taking far-away objects. I would really like somthing along the lines of the gravity gun in Half life 2- somthing that can launch projectiles against enemies and kill or maim them. Perhaps help me jump by "blowing" the ground below me and forcing me up, or holding onto an object to keep me from falling (could add for some nice puzzle action) The magnitude of the spell dictates how heavy an object it can pick up (player+carry weight)

"A perk is available that gives your enemies deeper cuts. A strategy talked about is simply hitting your opponent with a solid strike, then hiding as they slowly bleed to death."

Haha, awesome.
