improvements in loot

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 6:29 pm

i have played oblivion for a long time, and one of the things that i hate the most is getting 500 gold, a lock pick and something random in a level 5 chestboxes, also there is an uncerteinty of what you will find at the end of an instance, so i get all the way to the end, kill 500 ghost and get 500 gold, thats why i never even wanted to finish any of them, maybe they can put legendary chest in skyrim with special items, and level 5 chestboxes should have something more rewarding.

what i meant was that you have to pick the lock five times in order to open it, basically the hardest locks to pick.

With the (confirmed) addition of minibosses in dungeons, I'm pretty sure that there will be better loot. I don't know what to think about chests inside houses, but could be awesome if there were real-hard-to-get chests with non-leveled loot inside in some castles/stately homes, etc...

Hmm.. If some dungeons are locked to your level upon entering, I wonder if that means that dungeon loot gets perma locked to your level also?

I may leave dungeon exploration until I've gained significant levels if that is the case.

yea, i just never got why someone would bother to make a really hard lock to pick if they werent going to have anything special in it, maybe the chests in wealthy homes could have a lot of money in it, and not just 500 gold, which is not even good enough to buy one crappy sword, not that it was hard to get money in oblivion, but all i say is to put money were you expect to find money, like in a wealthy house, the end of a dungeon, and not on a glitch.
