Incorrect Cd?

Post » Tue Jan 25, 2011 3:04 am

I bought a fallout collection cd with fallout, fallout 2 and fallout tactics, Fallout 1, works fine, im not sure about fallout 2, since i have not played it yet. But when i was going to play fallout tactics, everthing was seem to work fine but it suddenly says i need to put in the fallout tactics cd. The pack only contained one cd so there is no other cd for fallout tactics. I have tried to reinstall it three times. it always says the same. Is it some way to fix this?

Sounds about right, I thought it was a counterfeiting thing that you couldn't just put it on another computer, when I put the Trilogy disk in again it worked ok. It just wants the CD you bought to be put back in.

Its cool, I understand what your sayin, personally I'd just open and close the cd/dvd drive when it asks for the other disk. Otherwise its something outta the scope of my limited knowledge. Or just press ok anyway when it asks, there could be something wrong with the disk, you should email the company that produced the disk/game.

Apologises for the double post having switched from Laptop to PC to play the FO games I encountered the same problem where it asked for the Tactics Disk which was already in the DVD Rom drive and of course wouldn't except this disk even when I opened and closed the drive, but fortunately I had installed a second DVD/CD RW drive before I started gaming so I took the disk from one drive and put it in the other and the game accepted the disk. Lucky that! And people wonder why I don't like PCs for gaming, honestly the basic stupidity of PCs is so annoying, if I hadn't of had a second drive I wouldn't be playing Tactics.
