INCREASE FRAMERATE ON THE PS4

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 9:26 am

Still pretty sure it won't be that fast though. I was talking competitive fps twitchy where TTK are like half a second and spotting someone 1st is the biggest factor in winning firefights.

Because they own a console because keeping a pc up to date for gaming is expensive busywork?

I still don't understand this console vs pc war and price being the deal breaker.

Console - ~£400
Fairly decent pc/laptop - ~£400

Vs

Good gaming pc - ~£800

Basically exactly the same price. All price arguments are nonsense. Period.

A lot of the time people will join the forums just to post a thread about what they want or some crazy suggestion and then they never come back. Don't really know why.

It really isn't expensive busywork. You have a one-time investment of, say, $1000 and you can add a few hundred every few years to keep it capable of playing new things at top settings. Then, after a number of years that is largely determined by your starting investment you buy another PC and start again.

$60 a year to play multiplayer. Adds up.

I think too many people would moan about the graphics if they went for 60fps. They were already complaining after the first trailer.

They never mention the downsides. Like the atrocious Arkham Knight port. It will get fixed, but it's worth noting that Rocksteady didn't even bother to do the PC Port in-house and instead OUTSOURCED it to some random studio. A lot of games have problems here or there. Like some random setting that tanks performance when it really shouldn't. The best solution is not to buy any games at launch sadly.

I'm all for higher frame rates, the mouse lag and sluggish response in 30 FPS makes me go bunkers. 60 FPS feels much nicer, It's not a new trend in gaming either. Just now less people defened low frame rates in games with a straight face.
A question,, why can't they let console gamers choose between two presets ? 720P 60FPS/ 1080p 30
Granted thats if by lowering the resolution they CAN get it to 60 which is not necessarily true. But I never seen any sort of options on my friends consoles. Why is that?

To the OP, you should probably consider the PC version. There is only so much the devs can do with consoles, although I wonder how will the last games of this generation will look... Ps3/ xbox 360 games surely did improve a lot over time.

I don't think OP is coming back. He created his account a few minutes before he created this thread and hasn't posted anything since.

And then I need to make sure files are up to date and correctly installed all over the place, make sure I dont get any viruses, install the games I wanna play and again make sure everything is in order and the games settings are right.

All while with a console I just hook it up and unless its a faulty game disc, I just put in my game and know 100% it will run and play, no busywork.

Well I wouldn't call that busywork simply because that's just what you get when you use a PC, gaming or not. I know that it's simpler to play on console but all of those things you mentioned are minor issues at best and at worst are only simply annoying.

Stop complaining, first of all, 30 fps is the minimum, not the lock, for all we know the maximum could 90 fps, second of all, why are you playing Fallout on a playstation

maybe in UK and USA gaming pc's are good buy here in canada get good pc's for running games price starts at 1400$ and quickly moves to 2000+

example first link is in USD next one is in CAD

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487139

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=EVGA+06G-P4-4992-KR+GeForce+GTX+980+Ti+6GB+384-Bit+GDDR5+PCI+Express+3.0+SLI+Support+SC+%28NV+Direct+Board%29+Video+Card&N=-1&isNodeId=1

so because the way our dollar is Being cheap is useless argument here in canada and market here for gaming pc parts is still realy small local stores charge even more than newegg.

but yeah if frame for consoles will hold at 30 than i don't think ill have complains

No, the game is locked to 1080 at 60 30 FPS on consoles; PS4 and Xbox 1. And as to the why maybe someone owns a Playstation 4 and not an Xbox 1 or PC but *Gasp* wants to play Fallout 4.

Edit: 30 FPS on consoles, not 60. My mistake.

I'm sorry, I was mistaken. The game is actually locked to 1080 at 30 FPS on consoles, not 60 FPS.
