My theory is there is a light armor perk that increases speed. Other than that, probably potions and enchantments.

stamina increases speed... every level you can increase either health stamina or magicka... stamina gives you more speed as well as more stamina to jump/sprint

I hated how unrealistically fast I would get on my stealth characters and I wouldn't even put effort into making them run fast in the first place.

It's already been confirmed for awhile that there is gear that makes you run faster, like these boots seen from the EG that increased speed by 10%

Other than that, I think increasing your stamina will only allow you to sprint longer, but not faster.

Really ? You will be able to run normally faster in Skyrim just by increasing your Stamina ?

..Other than that, I think increasing your stamina will only allow you to sprint longer, but not faster.

Or not ?.? Is there something clearly confirmed ?

Enchanting. A journo came across Boots of Blinding Speed in his playthrough. Axing Athletics was a great decision. I didn't like being forced to level it, even if I didn't want to.

Source?

As far as I know, increasing stamina only increases the amount of time you can sprint, not speed, since there is gear out there that covers that.

couldn't agree ... less i loved it and acrobatics and speed my favorite skills other than blade and light armor it was so satisfying just to get one increase for athletics acrobatics was pretty easy to get up and increased your speed early

I did too. Eventually I couldn't take it anymore and had to mod the game to make everything run slower.

It just made the game seem like a cartoon to me. Running faster than a black horse..Like I said, even when I put no effort into making my guy fast, the game just does it for me. Bleh.

Hated being too fast... I used console commands to lower my speed eventually. Same in Morrowind, cause then my game would buffer and load a new cell ever 5 seconds. Much prefer the Fallout style of standard speed, with some perks making you a tad faster, as if you were constantly sprinting. Boots of speed seem to make sense, and definitely wouldn't mind having a pair to travel a bit faster than normal, on occasion.

Too fast is just ridiculous... Same with jumping really high and being able to change directions like an annoying fly.

I think the Fallout style is better overall. Just perks and items to make you faster or jump higher is good.
