Incredibly high CPU temps in game

Post » Wed Feb 27, 2013 2:40 am

So ingame, my CPU is running at around 92c under load. Is this something that should concern me?

I think 90c is the "pain limit" on many CPU's and GPU's while 95-97 is the "killer limit"

I think my record is only 78 or 80c and I heard Acer's cases have poor ventilation (I just happen to have Acer's case :/ ), my GPU goes up to 88c when playing C3.

If this only happens in C3 then you just have to do something to reduce load until this (if ever) gets adressed

If this happens on any demanding game then you may want to do something to cool your PC better.

My old laptop tends to overheat easily and when it reaches 90c, everything goes to slideshow and clockspeeds drop to ground (it underclocks automatocly)

My cpu runs at about 24 degrees celsius idling and no more than 36 after lots of playing - I7 2600k cooled by a Corsair H100, id be having nightmares if it was getting to your temps!

I have regular I7 2600 and my startup temp is 30c haha (though during games its usualy around 60c)
My laptop can get from 60c to 90c in 10-20 seconds.

Hey atleast my room is warm during winters !
