Prior to his death archmage Traven reveals that Indarys became a Count as a result of Helseth's influence.....the implication being that otherwise a Dunmer would not possibly make the nobility.

Very interesting backstory there.

So much for that as soon as Mr Indarys jr inherits the title.

I thought Farwil would have made an excellent Count of Kvatch. But I don't think the Colovians would have wanted a Dunmer count in their side of Cyrodiil.

He doesn't seem like a puppet as much as someone who's "loyal service shall be rewarded". Like a favor or something like that.

Nah, he may be good for arrogance, but being a count requires brains, and that's something Farwil hasn't got an abundance of.
