If I go independent, will I still get the quest to protect the president? I'd prefer not to help the NCR in order to get that quest,
because I'm pushing them out of Vegas and I'd just be lying to them about helping them. That doesn't fit my character.

if you go independent yes man will make you aware there may be an attack on the president but it is optional whether to protect him or not
