Indirect faction supports need a buff

The BoS vertibird seems fine to me. But the main problem with it is that it really does nothing outside of just "Fast" (slow) travelling you to a given destination

I suggest:

#1 like regular patrolling vertibirds, upon landing, this vertibird drops a small squad of BoS allies. This way (if you use the vertibird like I do), you can call down a vertibird before you enter into a place, and you can have a small, temporary squad of BoS soldiers help you out.

The Minutemen artillery could really use a bit of love

I suggest:

#1 If I made the heavy investment of 5 settlers on 5 pieces in a settlement, the delay between the calldown and the barrage should be no more than 5 seconds.

#2 Like the flare, there should be a launcher for the artillery smoke grenade so that you can call down barrages from a better distance.

With these in mind, I wouldn't mind measures being taken to reduce the availability of the a munitions. For example, you could slow down the regen rate at sanctuary for the artillery grenades, and you can quadruple the price of vertibird grenades at Teagan's shop

I like your ideas. I really like the idea the more arty's you place the quicker the shots come down.

Actually I like them all lol. I wouldn't really want BoS people following me inside but it would be awesome if you landed in enemies and they would help

Yeah, I think I was a little misleading. I meant that the tiny squad would act the same way regular patrols do (they slowly wander and patrol a given area from where the vertibird lands).

But definitely something bethesda should do is buff the delay timing on the artillery when you have a lot of pieces in nearby settlements. You REALLY have to do so much work for something that you invest heavily in to even do anything, it shouldn't be that way. And the throwing range of artillery grenades is pitiful.

The delay right now is around 20-30 seconds, it's unacceptable in 99% of circumstances. It's downright useless.

Meanwhile, I shoot a flare in the air and I see a couple raggedy minutemen running my way in less than 5 seconds!

If I were to make a template for how I think artillery pieces should work, it would be something like:

#1 The regen rate of artillery smoke grenades is nerfed MASSIVELY

#2 A maximum of only 2 artillery smoke grenades can exist at sanctuary at any given time

#3 increasing the number of artillery pieces in a settlement only slightly increases bombardment time. 1 piece = 1 bomb, 2 pieces = 2 bombs, maximum of 6 pieces = 6 bombs

#4 the delay is at around 25 seconds. Keep this the same when there is only one piece on a nearby settlement. For every extra piece on the settlement, reduce the delay by 4 seconds. The minimum delay is 9 seconds with a heavy investment of 6 manned artillery pieces in a nearby settlement

The fallout wikia says that the delay is indeed directly proportional to how many guns are in range (more guns = smaller delay). It goes as far as to say that with 6 guns in range, the delay is around 5 seconds. My tests so far were only with 5 guns in range.

Well, fine, let's test the wikia. I set up 6 manned artillery pieces at the castle, here's what I got...

6 ARTILLERY PIECE DELAY TEST RESULTS

The grenade was thrown, and the smoke started to rise, the timer began.

At around 15 seconds, radio freedom announced that it was going to begin firing.

At around 28.73 seconds, the artillery fired.

At around 30.12 seconds, the bombs began to explode.

Disappointing that you can put nearly a whole third of a fully saturated settlement to artillery pieces and you have to sit around for half a minute before the fire support reaches your area. Hell, by the time the first bombs land, either the enemy is already dead or I am :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer:
