Information Request: Player created guilds

Has there been any information released specifically about player created guilds?

While this is a fairly open ended question I am attempting to piece together as much information as is public as possible.

Not sure what information you are specifically seeking, it might be difficult to say due to NDA, but players can join up to 5 player guilds, we can't say much more just yet.

It could also be mentioned guilds can set up stores in Cyrodiil.

I would be interested in this information, as well. I was frankly shocked when I found out that players are locked into the Alliance factions based upon their race. It would be really great if players could form their own factions with specific goals, like the Bouyant Armigers, the best name ever for a group in my opinion. :D

Some guild info:

1. Guilds are account-based, not character based. All your characters will be in all the same guilds. (opinion: bad)

2. Players can be in up to 5 guilds per account. (opinion: meh)

3. Guilds have their own auction-houses and you must be a member of that guild to access their auction house. (opinion: bad)

4. Guilds can set up public auction houses by taking over keeps in Cyrodiil. Players of their faction must go to their keeps in order to access the auction house. (opinion: fun)

5. Guilds can be cross-faction. (opinion: why?)

It seems to me from the information you provided that the guilds would be reduced, or changed, into more a financial/grouping aspect of the game rather than a gathering of like minded players. But I have a hard time interpreting what a MMORPG that has character in cross-faction, server wide guilds will end up looking like. I am delighted by the prospect of change from the MMO pattern though.

Guilds being cross faction totally dilutes the whole point of forcing people of a certain race into a faction. Maybe this secretly means that they plan on having an "abandon" Faction quest at L50?

IT is meant so people who have characters on multiple factions can get all into one faction to be able to do dungeons, or maybe start a group for PVP

Generally, from any PvP-focused game I've played, having people from opposing factions being able to communicate ends in trouble. I can promise there will be boat loads of drama over that.

I'm pretty sure (you can join same team with different factions after 50), but I just can not remember if it was just request on this forum or if it was said somewhere officially.
