Ingame Face Modeler

Depends. You can get busted but i've seen countless people do it and its fine. I've seen people change the entire model and not get busted.

Yeah you CAN get VAC banned for it, but would you want to get busted and end up spending $50 for a multiplayer game you can't play online anymore? I don't think you would want to.

Yeah i had custom sounds and skins for my guns in CS:S for ages, as long as only the first person model is changed you shouldn't get VAC banned

I personally feel best way to go is a few selections of face types that go with certain ethnicities stereotypical look such as black people big lips, jewish people big nose, asian people small- I mean slim eyes [except thai korean and such] with a little bit of customization to actually features such as eyes, nose and etc, but them to be pre-rendered rather then adjusted to give variety of how you want to look. That way you still have sleek looking characters that are unique for the most part, without having a complex editor. And I agree that APB has the best customization ever, high quality, great variety that unless you wear default clothing/average you won't find duplicate clothing without it being on purpose.

Personally with Brink I just want some good looking Pre-made faces and NOT ones look like they are in their 40-50's and have had a Nade go of in their face.
I mean seriously most (Not all, one or two are ish ok) of the faces I have seen look like crap / is fugly.
I don't care about high quality faces models if they look like [censored] on a stick.

They look like American drawn charactures of the British. I guess it goes along with the exaggerated look.

I just think some of the not so bad ones (But their face is like too long or something) if they just made some of them younger. like in their 20's early 30's then they probably wouldn't look as bad.

Well on a game engine based note, It is using an id tech engine which are extremely mod friendly so I assume it is very possible but due to the choice of using steam/VAC a custom head would probably require you to play a mod version of the game. So yes it can be done but not on a regular game server and only if you play on a PC.

Sorry gotta say it, another reason why all you consolers should switch to PC, because you can do sooooo much more especially after the main game dies out you still have tons of community modding fun. People are still Quake 3 modding ;)

I've not seen all of them, but I've seen two I like, alot :>

Using face-slides have never been something I liked, never :l

There will probably be something for everyone, if you don't like the faces, one could always cover it up :P

This is due to the hyperrealistic art style. The faces are exaggerated in some (or most, or all) of their attributes.

Hence why some of you might find most of them ugly. Because there is literally no perfect face. And if you exaggerate aspects of a face, it will always look contrary to the common sense of beauty.

By the way - I like the faces very much. But I usually go for that extreme look as well.
By the way 2 - I heard from a lot of people they liked http://mnfu.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/the-joker.jpg as the Joker, but not http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_uLEl_Km4s5c/TJy4ci9ITnI/AAAAAAAAALg/md-HtwuAwB8/s1600/The+Joker.jpg, which has this extreme facial attributes. (Those images are great, btw. A similar pose, a similar facial expression, but a completely different style.)

I know why it's like that... Probably just a poor choice of example on my part. But still the longish faces are the least, it just gets way worse from there.
1 or 2 are ok-ish

Here are all the faces I could find:

I don't mind that art style I'm just wanting some younger face choices. I'm 20 and I don't want a 40-50 year old looking character.

1st middle should satisfy you, or not?

Also I think 3rd top and 1st bottom are the same. 4th middle and 4rd bottom, too, but with different facial hair.

By the way 2 - I heard from a lot of people they liked Heath Ledger as the Joker, but not the original comic figure, which has this extreme facial attributes. (Those images are great, btw. A similar pose, a similar facial expression, but a completely different style.)

I think the 2 best Jokers are Jack Nicholson from the Batman movie and Mark Hamill's Joker from the cartoon and the Arkham Asylum game. They keep the classic look and feel of the Joker, while adding a darkness to the character.

The looks are ok i guess but still too old, he looks like 35-40 or a badly aged 30 year old. I want one that looks younger.

Yeah I wasn't sure about those 2
