Lets see how well done these cities are before we grab our torches and pitch-forks.

How much cities were in Oblivion?

1. Imperial City
2. Skingrad
3. Anvil
4. Leyawain (or however you spell that Hist-addicted town)
5. Bravil
6. Cheyendial (or however you spell that upper-class town)
7. Bruma

Only 7! Won't be much of a difference in Skyrim. 2 less cities...and probably a whole lot more towns.

Well...I proved nothing in the above statement(s)...but...

Cities in Skyrim will be a lot better. Simple as that. I selected Don't Care.

i want cities like assasins creed... i dont care if you cant go in every house!!!

no seriously... if a city the size of Venice, Florence or Jerusalem was in game i wouldent care if all the other cities burnt down and the available city's houses were mostly randomly generated shells!!!

If I remember correctly, Todd said that there would be 5 large cities (larger than Oblivion cities) and quite a few smaller towns and settlements. So I don't think it will be much of a problem at all.

yeah there are going to be several smaller towns. oblivion had the 7 big cities and that was it. 5 big cities plus a few smaller towns by each city seems pretty good to me. i have the wait and see attitude but im not worried about it.

There will be 5 huge "Walled-in" cities.

8-9 smaller open towns and villages, with at least 10-20 houses.

And a lot of smaller settlings which would add up to 20+ Cities, towns, villages, and settlings.

I'm satisfied. :)

I'll wait and see. If they truly outdo Oblivion's and Morrowind's in size and grandeur, I would very much support the lesser number of cities. I love the look of Markath (Side?), so far.

I would give up anyday many medium size cities (Oblivion) for less big cities (bigger than IC). The only thing that's bad news for me concerning cities is that they are still closed. The map being as big as Oblivion's, I think less but bigger cities is ideal, I thought some distances between cities such as IC-Chorrol, IC-Skingrad were too short to enjoy the trip.

I'm unsure still. As much as I like big cities, we have a pretty small game world (only ~40 square kilometers). There isn't that much room for "big" or many cities, without making the world feel incredibly cramped up or ridiculously scaled down.

So yeah, I'm still unsure.

There will be medium towns and villages, much better than Oblivions two houses and an Inn, so less major cities doesn't bother me at all. Also, will be nice to be able to trade and get services without leaving the wilderness as it were, OB only had innkeepers with 50 gold outside the cities.
