Insane flicker with a SINGLE gts 450

Post » Sat May 07, 2011 8:57 pm

Hi there, i got Crysis 2 today, and i been spending the whole day trying to get the damn thing to stop flickering. As it is now its not even playable, i get to chose between flicker, or a "zoomed" second image ontop.

I see thousands of threads about sli, but i am using a single gts 450 with the newest drivers, and its not overclocked.

Are there any fixes, or should i just go right ahead and throw the game out the window?

I am with GTS450, with the latest drivers too, and I don't have any problems. Post your pc setup, someone maybe able to help you.

Insane flickering goes only on multi gpu's, Crytek said to disable cf or sli to fix this.
Try to rename Crysis2.exe to Bioshock.exe, crazy but it's working.

Renaming the exe did nothing, same with shutting down Afterburner.

i`m sry to hear that. maybe you can try with a friend video card to see if there is an software/pc issue or it`s just your video card.
try also to contact EA suport: http://support.ea.com/ - maybe they are familiar with this problem.

Try to disable CUDA processing from the nvidia control panel. Not the best advise, but you can try that way.

Kinda hoped that will work, but I guess not...

You can also try this. I've heard that many problems with games, programs and etc. comes from the ram. The last thing that comes to my mind...reinstall of windows...

Support solved the issue for me, dont ask me why, but replacing my crysis2.exe with the one from the backup folder made all the graphic problems go away.
