[RELz] Insanity's Retexture Releases

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 9:41 am

*Snip*

I don't use the console either, I just filled up a chest with the armor and placed in the IC, great for testing :lmao:, I've never gone and tried to collect all the armor sets, might be time I did that though.

Once all of these are out or a more up-to-date compilation is released, I'll definitely be making a video and posting a blog about these. I'm so glad you took the time to do this; these textures are just what the game needed.

Glad you like them :), And that'd be great to see :D

Oh come on,you'll finish the vanilla sets(the common ones) in time so I can play my beautiful oblivionU_U

/offtopic: I have installed win7 on another hard disk because I think is better than xp,especially for newer games because it will allow me to get better fps and better graphics by using directx 10..anyone know If it is better to reinstall oblivion on win 7?If I get any improvement

It did for me well enough to notice the difference, but then again I installed on Win7 x64. I have a HD install just for Oblivion. 4GB RAM and the LAA patch comes in play. So yes, do Win7 but I recommend x64 version.

Made a start on the Steel set, got the http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/gallery/image/13738-improved-armoury-steel/. This is the last full set needed to be done, the rest are smaller more "unique" sets like I was releasing before.

Thanks :), Glad people like it.

I understand why no-one finished such a large project and not many attempted it, it's a large and time consuming task and I'm doing it the easiest way, I reckon there would be a good years work involved if more work was being done to the textures.

I figured that why you selected "InsanitySorrow" as your alias - sounds perfect to me

I'd just thought I'd post here to say thanks for making these texture packs. I've been using the Normal Maps packs for a while, and now that my GPU is getting upgraded, I'm looking forward to picking up the proper texture packs.

I took a much needed break from modding and spent that time playing Dragon Age 2, I've also been tasked with important work that needs done before I can continue work on the textures :), The steel is about 80% done though.

It's ok, not like it was announced or anything

Yup the steel set is the last proper set, the rest of the weapons and armor are smaller releases, they should be done quite quickly once I get to that stage.
