(Insert rebelling race here) vs Empire

Post » Sat Sep 07, 2013 10:40 pm

Simple poll. If your favorite race was rebelling, would you side with the rebels or the Empire supporters? If your favorite race is Imperial, imagine it was the redguards or Nords who were the head of the empire, signed the wgc and got rid of akatosh or Talos worship, whatever, and its basically the exact same situation. For other races like the Dunmer, imagine one of their important gods being outlawed. Like Malacath for Orcs, or one of the tribunal for Dunmer.

I left Nords out on purpose. Same situation, same type of leader, and everything.

Dunmer and I would support the Dunmer, I honestly don't care about the civil war in skyrim, in fact the only reason I stated why I support the empire is to keep the human races together because when they don't it's constant warfare as proven by history but the Dunmer are not humans, they are pretty much isolationists.

I support any race rebelling against the Empire. I would side with the rebels.

What if the altmer had their own "Ulfric Stormcloak?" Uncertain motives and racism accusations against dunmer, all of that?

Didn't Tdroid make a thread about this not too long ago? Nothing wrong with it, as I was rather interested in the thread. Anyways, I'm just going to copy and paste my post from there.

My favorite race is Imperial. And even then I'd support the Empire. Regardless if the Imperials were rebelling, or if some other race like Nords ruled the Empire.

Altmer and Rebels.

The Empire is a human realm. Altmer and Bosmer should have their own realm. The Aldmeri Dominion fills that role, it just needs to be purged of all the extremist garbage.

If it was that or Empire with no third option... I'd probably still side with an "Altmer Stormcloak".

My Altmer characters tend to be Daedric worshiping renegades though, so honestly I'd probably remain selfishly neutral. But for the purposes of this poll, I'd still side with the rebels.

That wouldn't make much sense seeing as the Dunmer are all the way on the other side of Tamriel.

The question was the exact same situation, so pretend they're not. Simple concept.

I've said the same thing in the very first poll: if the Empire were cracking down on High Rock, I'd probably be rooting for the Empire if it meant even the slightest bit more stability in the Province.

However, no matter how I look at it I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be all black and white. There'd definitely be good reasons to side with either one.

Also, I may be stretching it a little, but didn't Morrowind more or less carry the same theme (Tradition vs. Empire)?

It would depend heavily on the circumstances of the rebellion. But I voted no to an Imperial rebellion against their own Empire.

No, it would be a different Empire. Like a nord one. The circumstances would be the exact same.

Sorry, mis-read that part. Regardless, I'd say they should stay with the Empire, assuming the WGC was the motivation behind the rebellion.

The poll is unclear, i must know the cause, i must know why i must support the Empire and why i must must support Breton rebels let say....and there are many things to take into consideration...so i can't make my opinion and cannot vote

Its the same exact cause as the stormcloak one. A god was banned, rebels want independence and so on.

Which God got banned? As far as i know, Breton doesn't care much about the Gods, Bretons have many religions, the Divines religion, Elven religion, Orc religion...Breton don't have their own belief system...so i think i will side with the Empire if that is the cause of the rebellion.

They share the same belief system as the Imperials. Imagine Akatosh or Talos.

I'd support the Khajiit natives in their rebellion. Kick out the Empire and Dominion, neither will be tolerated. They persecute Khajiit where they please based on the customs and culture, and then these foreigners adopt Khajiit customs and culture and it somehow becomes acceptable just because they are now practicing it. Bah! The Thalmor are nothing more than tricksters, playing on the insecurities of Khajiit with illusions of Masser and Secunda, or at the least taking credit for something they can't even begin to comprehend! They never returned the moons, they couldn't even defend their homeland against the Daedra in the Oblivion Crisis! Khajiit should rule Khajiit!

You never know. Maybe the Thalmor did make the moons disappear then reappear. The AD does have Dawn Magicks.
