CD Installation "No AppID Configured" Error WITH Sol

So if you are like me and have horrible internet speeds, you have probably purchased the Hard Copy of Fallout 4.

If you are also like me then you received the "No AppID Configured" error shortly after selecting your installation language and you are just about to rage!

I checked the config file in the CD and the AppID WAS correct and it WAS the exact same as what it said on Steam. Confused? Frustrated and Annoyed? Well I have a solution for you!

Instead of opening the Setup.exe from the CD, follow these steps to make use of your Hard Copy.

1: Open Steam

2: Click on "Steam" in the top right hand corner

3: Hit "Backup and Restore Games..."

4: Select "Restore a Previous Backup"

5: Change the restore folder from C:\Steam\Backups to the location of your CD. In my case it is D:\

and VIOLA! You have made use of your Hard Copy!

UNFORTUNATELY someone at Bethesda thought it would be a solid idea to ONLY put 5 Gbs of the game on the Hard Copy so you will still have to download another 20 gigs >:(

BUT I hope that this helps you install the game a little faster and saves some of your internet data!

I currently have 6 hours of downloading left. I hope yours is a little faster!
