» Fri Mar 08, 2013 7:33 am Oddly enough, as a gamer with three decades of experience with FPS, I STINK and always have, for 30+ years, that, and an extremely slow ISP ( and my non existent talent ) has kept me playing always as a single player, I don't mind.
But I am also not very familiar with issues relating to on line problems in part since I never have to try and join in, etc, and I am wondering if that is what is going on now. I bought the Hunter version of Crysis 3 from Amazon on pre-order on CD ( I try to buy all the games I can on disk if possible, I bought Max Payne 3 digitally and it took 7 days of 24/7 to complete the download! ) and also got the "Brawler" pack as a bonus I guess for the pre order.
The install went fine, even entering the code to redeem the brawler pack apparently went without a hitch.
However, when I try and play the game all I get is " Sorry, an error has occurred, we are unable to connect to EA servers to Activate Crysis 3 hunter edition, try again latter"...but hours latter that is still all I get.
I tried other games such as BF 3 to see if it was perhaps a problem with Origin but those games connected and worked fine. I know ( and again, I am sorry I really am ignorante in so many of these matters, I just want to stand there and shoot or get shot, eaten, etc ) this is probably a dumb question, but is this perhaps a case of the servers for Crysis 3 just being swamped?
I tried to get out of Origin altogether and reboot but got a warning that if I did, my install of the game would NOT be activated, so I am at a loss as to my next move...do I just sit here and keep clicking until one frees up IF that is the problem, or have others had this problem that is NOT a server bogged down problem?
Thank you so much for taking the time to humor an OLD gamer that still stinks after 30 years but still loves it like it was my first time! Any and all answer are so appreciated, I clearly need steering in the right direction.
