Hm, Crysis 2 so frustrating so i cant hold it on my HDD anymore.
Installed it in 2 weeks after 1st installation and not even finished SP due of bugs, stupid dubmed down annoying gameplay, linear corridor-style level design, poor graphics, ruined MP and recently locked mods - i hate Crysis 2.

Crysis 1 was installed 1st 4 years ago, still on my hdd (migrating from one pc to another), have lot of custom maps and mods, and i still love to play vanila SP of Crysis again and again.
I dont even have idea to uninstall Crysis 1 even if will run out of free space on HDD, because i really love Crysis .

What i want to say by this? Just one simple thing - i want to show Crytek how deep the rabbit hole into which they fell, to show all my frustration about what have they done with such a great Crysis and show what was much better, with hope that they will patch something or at least will return Crysis 2 addon or Crysis 3 to Crysis 1 roots.

Now its your turns guys, tell Crytek how much you loved Crysis 1 and how much your hate Crysis 2.

It's not that Crysis 2 is a bad game, I mean... had I not played Crysis 1 I would probably think that C2 was a great game even. However, I did play C1... and with that in mind C2 is a huge disappointment.

It might have been, but at the time, it felt too much like Doom3 with different monsters. I don't think I made it past the first 3-4 levels before the boring meter hit max and I never made it back. Though I was mostly making a joke, I have no ideal why I still have Doom3 and Far Cry on this drive.

To the OP, so has to not totally hijack your thread. I loved Far Cry and liked Crysis 1 better than C2. But I like tropical sandy beaches, so I'm biased. Crysis 2 is OK, I can't say I love it, can't say I hate it. It is what it is. I knew when they said it wasn't going to be a PC exlusive title that it wasn't going to be on par with Crysis 1.

Seeing that Duke Nukem , Rage and BF3 are also going to be Console ports, I have lowered my expectations for those games now. I'll probbaly get Duke on release day, even though it goes against my better judgement, because I really loved the original Duke 3D and so I'll just face the consequences, for nostaglia sake. As I stated before, we all have to learn to ignore the marketting hype and take everything the different companies advertise with a large grain of salt. They are always going to put has much positive spin around their product has they can. They all promise great things and then many times it doesn't get delievered or fully delivered. Games are not much different than movies and even actors are guilty of going out there and hyping up a bad or mediocre film.

And that's why I grabbed Q4. Quake 2 and it's Xpacs consumed alot of my hours lots of fond memories.

Anyway, fact that i am and many of you guys dont want to keep Crysis 2 even month on HDD, and that we still keeping Crysis 1 installed mean a lot, and i hope that Crytek would make some right decisions next time.

Well actually i was thinking about refund, and if DX11 patch will not inlcude high res textures packs, AI improvements, 64bit exe, ultra realistic hardcoe mode (Crysis 1 like) with all that annoying tips "do this, do that", if physics would not be fully enabled and if would not be able to ruin trees liks i did in C1, if there would not be POM and CVARS anticheat + mod support and Sandbox 3.
I will take my refund in this case, because i paid for one game, and got pretty different game. Crytek and EA clearly committed crime called FRAUD and violated several US and international laws.

Trust me, i have good practice with that, when i know i was cheated by false advertising, im usually going to shop where i bough this ****, if they refuse to take **** back and give me my money, i use EA support (or any other publisher's support) and asking them for refund or fix of problem. EA gave me already few free games of my choice as excuse for their fraud called NFS Undercover, and Saboteur semi-broken state, im pretty good in fighting for my legal costomer's rights. You can read part of my convo with EA:

Im starting to think that i was cheated, and this is GOOD REASON TO to SUE a LAWSUIT against EA for consumer fraud - due of deceptive advertising and violation of US FEDERAL LAWS described in US Code Title 15, Chapter 50 "Consumer product warranties", in US Code Title 15, Chapter 87 "Telemarketing and consumer fraud and abuse prevention".
Also, its not the 1st time when i have such a problems with game produced by EA, and when Customer support acts like this and does not help to solve problem of game, do not report developers about games bugs and when EA takes no actions to remove these bugs... please report higher up to your bosses, if my problem will not be solved soon ( i dont care if u will need to create patch to solve this problem, all i care about that my game isnt work and isnt look like EA claims it should work and look like which is seem to be fraud) i would bring attention of US Federal Trade Commission to EA's deceptive actions and consumer fraud. Also should i remind you guys that when you cannot support me and cannot solve my problem your also violating warranties that EA gives to customers (again described in US Code Title 15, Chapter 50 "Consumer product warranties")?

After this they started to move, and after all, when they failed in fixing things, they offered me few of any available EA titles for free as apology for false advertising, because legal threat is thing that always scares them. So you guys should keep in mind laws i mentioned and you should know your rights, which are regularly violated by most of publishers, because they know that you dont know your rights, but when you do know them, that usually scare **** out of them, so they will make you an offer you cannot resist ))

1. Crysis 2 could not have been set on an island. Why? Well it's simple, Far Cry 1 and Crysis 1 were both set on tropical islands and to be honest how much more can you add to an island ( that Crysis 1 didn't have) to make it better. Your small brain probably didn't realise that if Crysis 2 was set on a n island it would have been more like Crysis Warhead, and then you would be on this forum complaining about how Crytek aren't inovative enaugh.
2.The SP bugs are minor, hardly a reason to return a game. Did you ever play Turning Point Fall of Liberety? No probably not. My dear special "friend" you have no idea what bugs are. The AI do stupid things ocasionally but honestly if you just jumped in guns blazing you wouldn't notice.
3. Your list of fixes and add-ons are pathetic, you sound like a spoiled 5-year old girl who got a pony instead of a unicorn. No developer can satisfy all your needs and they never will.
4. I don't know if you know this but the majority of gamers are on consoles and so in order for Crytek to stay in business they need to expand to these markets, so unlike Crysis 1 where all their resources were put into one platform they have to do it for 3 platforms each with their own limitations and bugs.

In closing, your retarded and want Crytek to do only that which God can do and you want them to do it three times over (each platform). Dude shame on you for being so stupid

I feel ya bro, Crysis 2 really is a disappointment. For those of you that are saying Crysis 2 is the best game ever, check yourself, I doubt you know what Crysis 1 is.

Crysis 2 was a disapointment to me, linear Call of Duty style gameplay, the gfx are way inferior to the original (I actually think the game looks ugly compared to CoD), and the less said about the story the better.

Much like Crysis 1, the fun pretty much stops when you're fighting the aliens.

Not a monumental let down like Deus Ex 2, but still, I expected more.

Whats so wrong with an FPS having interesting character? Its not as though the genre precludes good story telling...

Also just a point in "not making sense", for some people Arma 2 runs better without TS3 running...so yeah, taking USB's out isn't such a crazy idea after all.

thinking Crysis 2 would be better than the original, I gave my copy of Crysis 1 to my cousin. wanted him to experience real pc gaming after he got his first computer.
