Is there any way to install and play Fallout 3 GOTY with a networked drive?

I built my desktop without a drive because I would rarely use it (this would be the thirf time), so I'm using my laptop drive mounted as a shared folder.

GTA IV and Halo 2, the previous two times I've needed an optical drive, both installed fine using this method but SecuROM is complaining about the DVD not being in a physical drive...

Are you able to explore the contents of the DVD?
Run the Setup.exe not the Launcher.exe
But ofcourse youll need the launcher to configure stuff. And all I feel I could post here would be to look for that info yourself .... Its out there.
