I tried disabling/moving the mods I added since the last time I played but nothing really worked. This happened before, but deleting FALLOUT.ini fixed it, that still doesn't work. In the past this has been caused by missing masters for me, but FO3Edit found nothing and neither could I.

I usually put DarnUI right at the top after the esms. Are you sure DUIF3Extras.esp is needed? I don't see many using it anymore. I vaguely remember someone sometime saying it's not needed anymore
I don't see a Merged or Bashed patch at the bottom of your load order.
Maybe being nitpicky but I'd put Xepha's esm after FWE, just like the esps are further down. Usually whatever order the esms are in the esps should be the same.

I don't know if there's anything missing there. I think a couple of the plugins are already in FWE (or configurable within it), such as no auto-aiming, wear rates for weapons and armor, bottling water.

My load order has the miscellaneous game tweaks near the top, things that FWE doesn't change (otherwise they go after FWE if I want to override it), houses, armor, weapons in the middle, then overhauls, companions and weather mods with a Bashed/Merged patch at the end.

I don't use any auto-load ordering tools but have you tried the one within FOMM? I heard it's better than it used to be, so that could may be helpful as well.

That's all I can think of

Alright, I'll try tweaking it a bit. And the bottled water is a little different from FWE's but still compatible, hence the esp immediately after all of FWE's.

EDIT: New load order, still not working.

Oh, wow. I think I confused Dynamic Weather with Enhanced Weather. Still not working, though...

FO3Edit would catch a missing master, right?

Have you tried running BOSS-F?

edit: And reading the log it generates and presents to you?

Yes, run FO3Edit. It will tell you which file it errors on when loading if a master is missing.

That's what I thought, but FO3Edit can't find anything.

I deactivated the unneeded Darn file, still nothing. Not sure what it means with DCInteriors.

Um. Is there something at work here I'm not understanding correctly... or do you still have both Dynamic Weather and Fellout installed? I mean, it looks that way (to me). If so, as mentioned upthread, that could be problematic.

Not sure what else might be wrong. It's been a while since I even looked at Fallout. Just stepped in here out of curiosity, to see what's up with the latest mods.

Fellout's deactivated.

I remember having something called Fallout Master Update that was supposed to solve some problems, where can I get that?

Rename your "FO3Edit.exe" to "FO3MasterUpdate.exe" , then just run it and you will have what you want ;)

Downloaded Wrye Bash, nothing shows missing masters and I replaced the merged patch with a Bashed Patch but it didn't help.

So does anyone have any other ideas? Could it possibly be non-mod related?

It could be savegame corruption. Did you try reverting to an earlier save?

Don't think it's that. Would that cause it to crash right after I start up? The most I see is "PLEASE STAND BY".

You can check your save file in FOMM and it will show you the mods that were used with that save. Green means things are good, and red means that something is missing ( I believe ). Have you tried that yet?

If that doesn't work, I am sorry to say, just start fresh. Make sure you have the latest updates before you install again :)
