Instant CTD : IV

Im getting and instant CTD

Ive been working for days now and cant figure it out. Ive used Wrye Bash, read the readme's, looked at tutorials and sorted it using BOSS where is my failure?

where do you get the CTD? immediately after starting up oblivion? if so it sounds to me like fonts are missing (i had that once) or that there is a master file error (a master file that must be loaded for a mod to work isn't loaded).
if none of these, idon't know

If the CTD happens before you can even load the game. Then it might be due to a ... font or something. Like from Dark UI or another mod that changes fonts. Wrong font can cause the game to instant CTD.

COBL Races and COBL Races TNR? I think that's a conflict, but not enough to crash this. Try going to the latest FCOM thread and checking with the veterans, there.

Okay will do. Its an instant CTD that happens like this. the screen goes black for half a second like the game is loading up then and then returns to my desktop w/o any message

So on startup then?

1. Try deleting Oblivion.ini from My Documents/My Games/Oblivion and let the game generate a new one on startup.
2. If that doesn't work, check in Wrye Bash if a plugin is red - if so it's missing a master and that should be fixed.
3. Can also be caused by missing fonts, i.e. after a faulty install of DarN's UI, for example.
4. Can also be caused by having Mayu's skeleton tweaker checked in the Bashed Patch w/o having the mod installed.
