Favourite faction and it is crying out for better content other than get a super mutant sample. So much potential.

I came over with a thought about a possible backside story about UP which might be unlocked through a DLC:
1) The quest "Removing the Veil" will start either through an institute terminal located within' the SRB , a classified operation which gone wrong but none wants to speak about , you'll have to find more clues on the spot, grabbing all the holotapes and trying to reconstruct the facts behind University Point destructions.
2) After exploring the area and gunning down eventual enemies gathering all holotapes from within' UP will trigger you the same "Removing the Veil" quest.
Two people will come at you, a man and a woman, seeing you getting out of university point they will stop you outside the gates pointing weapons at you.
"Is better you hand what you've found inside to us, and move on, we'll let you live, maybe"
- Railroad unique dialogue option (unaccessible if you do not have institute hostile)
- Institute unique dialogue option (unaccessible if you do not have railroad hostile)
- charisma check "lower guns, i just want infos"
- fight
When they'll be killed one of them will have a synth part and a special holotape, otherwise talking to them with charisma, they will tell you that somebody has started to kill out everyone that night and it wasn't the Institute, nor the Railroad.
UP used to be a known settlement used from both factions, the institute had given multiple crops to the inhabitants, and observed the situation while the Railroad kept using it as a way to hide synths escaping from the institute.
One night battle broke up, somebody else was interested to whichever thing was hidden in it and it was easy to put the blame on the Institute, but their synths didn't made in time.
The reason behind is a powerful weapon resembling an old Euclid C-Finder, powered by the sun's energy, a pre-war advanced technology definitely gone missing.
Or stolen.
While the institute asked for that terrifying weapon to be handled to them, there was no time for it, nobody would knew the fate of the innocent people in UP.
The remainings of the "UP elimination team" have been dealt with , and the meeting point now marks a bunker deep south from Quincy.
When you'll get close you hear multiple gunshots and as soon you get close enough the bunker will vanish in ashes.
Based on who you're sided with, either the Institute or the Railroad will rescue you, you'll have to give them your infos and promise them a truce until this danger has been dealt over.
You'll explain them the danger, and you'll be sent out to find contact with the other side, whoever hired the mercs to destroy UP now has the most powerful weapon of the commonwealth and a full cover, you're the only one that can stop the danger.
[continue....]
Maybe a bit silly-cliched , but seemed funny to me when i first thought of it
