INT buff?

Post » Thu Dec 10, 2015 9:32 pm

I've noted that some the the clothes give somewhat 'magical' buffs to SPECIAL scores. While having extra PER or AGI or STR or LCK, etc. can be helpful in combat. Having higher CHR can help in dialog success. What can INT do?

I've got a lab coat that gives +1 to INT. Well that's neat and all, but what good is that? I've never had any conversation that had a SPECIAL gated option of any kind (like prior games), let alone INT gated. Never found a puzzle or lock or anything else that a boosted INT would help. Wearing it doesn't let me select higher ranked Perks if their above my actual SPECIAL INT score. So ... what's the point?

Does having a boosted INT ever help? Anytime? Anywhere?

Thanks.

there is at least 1 mission with an old style int check which only avoids you having to go get replacement parts. .

True. I suppose I could put on the coat before opening Master locks or the final blow on a boss or something. Course it seems kind of lame doing that.

INT gives you more EXP and gives you more perenticies to remove duds and reset tries on computer hacking.
